I will take Ware and hillard over all of bamas backs. Don't understand theIr like status TR gets. He might be the best but so might Ware or Hillard. Either way it is close.

According to the stats, it's not close at all. Like a poster said earlier today, if Ware were to match Richardsons total carries so far, he'd need 22 YPC to match Richardsons total yardage. That is not close, or even debatable. You either have to choose whether Bama has a superior OL or RB, because that yardage isnt just a product of luck.

the LSU Stable. You can never have enough healthy running backs...Just ask the Saints of last year.

Richardson is the best back in the country, anybody else say different fooling themselves, but don't act like Lacy is not that far off from Richardson because that is garbage and you know it is.

they aren't on the same planet. Richardson will be a top 10-15 pick in the NFL. Who knows about Ware. Mid round at this point

Ridley ran for a 1,000 yards his only season, if he had stayed he goes in the the first round, but glad he did because it gave Ware and co. there opportunity.

Ridley was the 5th or 6th best back in the SEC last year. He'd prob be around that again this year.

The Pats fell in love with him. What can I say.

Yards after contact is more important when comparing rb s. Ingram sure doesn't look great in the pros. Ypc are skewed by what team you play for and the level of competition.

He's outperforming Mark Ingram, significantly.

Just sayin...

Who are the other 3 to 4 backs in the SEC better than Ridley was?

I imagine it was a combo of Lattimore, Dyer, Ingram, Newton, Kniles Davis. Even Poole had similar numbers.

I honestly think if you made this thread Barry Sanders vs. LSU's stable of running backs, people on this sight would take LSU.
That is why I love LSU fans.
I would take Trent Richardson tomorrow and give Bama their choice of 2 of our backs, and throw in Shepard. Not a knock on our players, but he is ridiculous. He will be an NFL all star.

LSU's backs .. without a second thought.

I would rather have young men that came to LSU because they love LSU instead of ANYONE else, no matter how good, that didn't have LSU Football in their heart.
