Ryan Leaf
I doubt Ryan Leaf hurt his NFL draft position by leaving a year early. He was the #2 overall pick in the 1998 draft. He could only go one spot higher the next year.

Trev Faulk LB was the first of the shockers for me. I believe he went undrafted.
Faulk was a two time sll sec player and an all American. Hard to shite on a guy being that successful in college and then jumping to the pros. Another all American campaign wasn’t going to get him drafted earlier. Going off memory, think his 40 times weren’t good.
Smith has done nothing on the field to get drafted at all and is just hoping to get drafted on his potential out of high school.

Malachi had the measurables, but he caught everything against his chest - even jump balls.
With his height and leaping ability, he should've grabbed high balls with his hands - like a basketball rebound. No DB should've been able to stop him, at least in those situations.
Instead, he'd jump up and then try to catch the ball against his chest, which negated his huge physical advantage.
I knew right then that he didn't know how to play WR.
He seems like a good guy so I'm not bashing him personally - just pointing out the underperformance relative to physcial advantages he had.

Y’all have lost yalls minds . Smith isn’t close to the worst. We’ve had guys leave early and go undrafted . Smith will definitely be bragged by the fourth round. Hell he knows that and that’s why he left.
These days , with nil, you don’t leave early unless you have a decent draft grade .

He’s going to measure off the charts. He’ll be a mid round pick at worst and be 1 year closer to the coveted second contract

Kayshon Boutte is up there
He would've had a good shot to go in the 1st round with Malik

Nothing is definite. He's nowhere near top 5 or even top 10 DT on the board. I seriously doubt his combine will be impressive except his measurements that God gave him. He's slow and out of shape. Has been all year. Which is understandable coming off injury. But if anything, he proved he isn't ready to play at the next level.
He'll probably end up in the xfl or whatever it's called now. Which is sad because with the coaching coming in, he had a chance to really shine and if he worked hard could have put himself into the first two rounds.
