Probably would've been a td and won the game for Bama.

that happened at like the beginning of the 3rd quarter. it also wasn't returned for a TD. It was 10-6, Alabama leading when it happened. Yes, it was a terrible call, but no it wasn't a game winning play. We ended up scoring 20 unanswered points after that play, winning 26-10.

I'm going with the Brad Wing celebration penalty.

....along with the no-call of horse collar on JFF that last drive. Same game.

The answer is the AJ Green celebration penalty against UGA

OK, but that call only neutralized the same chicken mess call against LSU on their touchdwon right before the Green penalty.

Game would've been 17-6 and our offense wasn't moving the ball. He returned it for huge yardage, never said it was a td. I remember it being almost 80 yards, but that parts a little fuzzy...

Yeah.
Well. You've got a point there.
Then I'll go with none. We've never gotten a call that wasn't deserved!

After umping for nearly 20 years at high school level, that job is a job of little reward and lots of criticism. No matter how good of a job you do, you're always wrong.
If you played baseball in the BR / Lafayette area from the mid 70's to mid 90's then I likely called one of your games.
That's why I don't criticize umps.

He returned it to about midfield. Got tripped up as he was cutting across field by the tiger eye.

You won't acknowledge a call that an ump got wrong? You just pretend they don't exist?

That's a lot of assuming for what would have happened the rest of the game

I just don't even go there. Lynn Rollins was an outstanding ump. If you've ever listened to him, he always gives the ump the benefit of the doubt. Why? Because it is a very difficult job that you have to trust your eyes. Split second decisions. I've made bad calls and told the coach and player that I missed the call. Nothing I could do except admit it. Fortunately, none of them I remember were "game changers". I've been behind the plate and know some pitchers changed my strike zone. Few had command like Patterson from Gonzales. Guy had an excellent fastball with movement. Remember him inching me off the plate a couple games.

The first thing that popped into my head was the 1972 LSU vs Massa Wife "Turn back the Clock 4 Seconds, you are now entering Louisiana" game, where the Tigers got off 2 plays in 4 seconds.

There seemed to be a slight "Delay " for the clock to start moving on the final play, where Bert Jones hit Brad Davis with a pass in the South EZ...........

Patrick Peterson's pick against Alabama that was reversed. LSU benefited because it eventually got Les fired.

Disagree. His foot was just slightly off the base. Even with the terrible angle, you can see the foot move back after the base is touched. Yes, ever so slight but we didn't get the angle of the ump.

Early Doucet's "catch" to win the game against ASU in 2005. He did not maintain control of that ball as he was going to the ground. I think we got a sympathy call because of all the stuff with Katrina.
