Kelly also took over an absolute fricking dumpster fire of a program and won the SEC west with it his first year
Acting like it was a “disaster” hire is insane. The program was still stable and fine. It sure feels like a disaster now though

Jay was a great hire.
Mulkey was good, but she wanted to be here. Great hire, but I think any AD could have accomplished that.

I’m no Landry fan by any means and do think he could have done all he’s done and just kept his mouth shut but it seems that is his little man personality that he has to be in the spotlight and pump his chest.
But my question is, isn’t he only acting in that position because we are short a president? I mean I could see him ruining his mouth still but would he be this involved if we had a president and was wasn’t acting in this role due to not having one?

Dude, all these guys are not mad because Woodward is gone. They’re mad because a Republican Governor ran him off. Your post is 100% accurate. The fate of an AD is in the hands of his football and basketball coaches.

You act like we didn’t make fun of Kelly for beating up on weaklings and getting crushed every big game he was in for years here. He did the same thing here, 5-11 vs the top 25. I know you hate the governor but don’t try to rewrite Kelly’s past.

The new president will take over in a few weeks and Landry will go back to the capital and none of this will even matter. Saban will be the new AD.
