Your point about Woodward contract negotiation abilities are valid. He does have a tendency to pay MSRP with a extra special dealership markup.

I think he does too.
Looking back Kelly has only made two coaching mistakes in his tenure so far: not being aggressive enough toe address the DL and DBs in the portal prior to last years season and getting rid of Corey Raymond his first season. I think he has addressed those issues going forward.

I don’t disagree with everything you posted as I think him ride or dying behind his basketball pick is ridiculous, but let’s not get it twisted. He came in April, 2019. Under him we’ve had National Championship in football, baseball, women’s gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, 2 heisman’s , etc, etc. While you can say that he’s not personally responsible for all of this, I do believe that he provides the funding to go out and get the best coaches that he thinks will give us the best opportunities to win (except for men’s basketball). I’d give his overall grade a B+. I think sometimes, we as fans are not realistic. LSU is a National Brand. No ifs ands or buts. There are kids all over the Country that follow our programs religiously and no I’m not just talking about football. We’re competitive is almost every sport and everyone knows our team and our brand. Be careful what you wish for.

Here is a prime example of gratuitous bashing especially if you are expecting to win the NC every year as the only measure of success by the AD. The FB team won 5 years ago and basketball has never won so holding that against the current AD is just stupid. We would like to see MBB be competitive again, it is disappointing to see where the program is at the moment
