If they hired Will Wade back season ticket sales would jump immediately and the first game in the PMac would be packed regardless of who they play.
The fans are and always have been on Will Wade’s side, not LSUs, as it was clearly evident in that last home game against Vandy which was one of the best atmospheres I’ve ever seen at LSU and I was at both Arizona wins back in the day.
The vast majority of fans love Will Wade and so do his players. Wade is the one with all the leverage in returning simply b/c of that. And that’s probably the bigger deterrent for him returning than anything, b/c the fan base has his back over the university.

His interview last year now seems strange or maybe I’m reading into it too much. He said he doesn’t blame LSU for making the decision with the information they had at that time and said that he’d been in contact with McMahon helping him get settled in with the LSU basketball crowd. Seems like he was still very close to some people around here and loosely involved with McMahon which is very interesting with how things are playing out.

Not going to happen. When he refused to come in and talked to the President and AD and hired a lawyer to handle the matter he cooked his goose and was doomed at LSU. The decision was made that he had to go and stay gone. No matter how good he might be you do not want an employee that does that. Getting Wade back is not going to happen without a complete change in and probably not then. So all this about getting Wade back is just so much ado about nothing.

You’re conflating two situations with different ADs. The one involved in the situation you’re referencing got fired because he’s the one who lied and was being underhanded.
