LA is less woke than nola now, we weren't asked for vaccination cards or proof of vaccine unlike what we're being asked back home (even in BR for LSU home games)

Woodward knew he’d have the backing to get rid of O when he needs to. That’s why he did it. It’s a show.

Orgeron isn’t his guy. The idiots blaming Woodward don’t seem to get it. Thanks to shrimp boat captain (no offense to actual shrimp boat captains), and his own behavior off the field a very very affordable buyout will be negotiated if the university even agrees to pay him shite.

The buyout on assistants will be around 4 million id imagine.

What have they won of significance? Not a snarky question.

Jimbo just got a 10 year extension for that much already.
This was an epic freak up when Miles should have been fired after the ATM game and Jimbo hired. Alleva blew it then no too coach wanted in a year later so we settled on Ogre

I haven’t watched a single LSU game of any sport since Joe Burrow and Joe Brady left town. The championship game was my last, and probably will be my last for a good long while. I used to be die hard LSU, I bled purple and gold. This state’s political shite show took the fcks right out of me. Lol

I don’t have any control over what LSU does, so I learned not to care. It has made my life so much better honestly. I used to want to punch somebody when LSU lost a game. Now my old friends don’t even bother talking LSU sports with me anymore. I only rarely even read the rant on this site anymore, I post on the other tabs here though.

Meanwhile, "woke" lefty UCLA in "communist" California, with "socialist" governor Newsome, filled with social justice warriors and feminists, just whooped our poor arse.
You guys are so stupid sometimes. Listen to yourselves talk. We were wearing masks in the Rose Bowl too, arse.

We went 15-0 with the same coach, governor, mayor, and a system president who was walked all over.

This is a football problem, and a coaching problem. duh

I really don’t see how we don’t have a long, long stretch of 90’s-esque football after O leaves. Everything is incredibly bad right now, and that isn’t just including the on-field product.

I know people who are very close to the program, and by all accounts Ed is a complete frickup in basically every way and he’s nothing but a liability, if that wasn’t obvious enough by him trotting around a bunch of dirty old whores in public like that’s cool while he’s supposed to be an adult mentor for a good amount of kids who didn’t grow up in a good situation and actually need someone to look up to. His coaching is embarrassing, but his ridiculous trashy irresponsible, unprofessional behavior is 10x worse IMO.

Let’s move on to local sports media. This is the first time in my life that I haven’t heard a single offseason report from anyone close to the program. I’m guessing O’s little fat slimeball friend Derek aka Tiger Ree has been doing slimeball things and getting the media in propaganda lockstep?

And on top of that, we’ve got a compliance department that’s dead set on getting rid of every good player we have, a woke university president who has more strict Covid restrictions than Los Angeles and will undoubtedly continue F King’s mission of embarrassing our school and devaluing our degrees, and a local government filled with shitbags who are running the city into the ground and using LSU football as a political bargaining chip rather than supporting the program

I’m not seeing how we can come out of this with John Bel Edwards, Sharon Weston Broome, William Tate, and all of their little lackeys running the show. The incompetence and corruption is too deep, the decisions being made are too political and non-objective, and it’ll take years and years of good leadership to even begin to unravel the entire Louisiana/Baton Rouge/LSU problem before we can move forward and truly rebuild football on a stable foundation. Pretty awful situation

I understand all of this, at least the parts that I read. Let me explain how you get out of the situation….there are two things undefeated in this universe:

Pussy and cash

Better than our “poor arse” doesn’t mean exceptional or even good. In case you haven’t noticed, the PAC-12 isn’t really a hub of competence in athletics or anything else.

The trend is more relevant than the outlier of a great season under them, and we’ve been nosediving since they started their tenures

I'll believe this when I see it. As of now, Woodward looks like a complete idiot for giving O so much money annually, much less the buy out.

Like I've said before, who in the hell was going to hire O from us if we didn't give him the contract? Sounds to me that old Woody gave away his leverage.

I’m in San Diego and same here. Surprisingly, it actually DOES sound like LA is more woke than L.A. and S.D.

Part of the many reasons I left Louisiana.
Sadly; things won't get any better.

Nothing but they are trending in the right direction, meanwhile LSU appears to be going in the other.

We’ve been in Carlsbad the last 5 days and it’s way more relaxed and less liberal here than it is back in Louisiana surprisingly.

I'm with you on the O stuff, but not sure I would blame all of our football problems on democrats. You people have this weird desire to conflate all the demons in your life into one composite entity.

Your thesis is that the local government is going to make it impossible for LSU to be competitive.
