Woodward has his work cut out for him, not sure how he can unpack such a systemic shitshow

I really don’t see how we don’t have a long, long stretch of 90’s-esque football after O leaves. Everything is incredibly bad right now, and that isn’t just including the on-field product.

I know people who are very close to the program, and by all accounts Ed is a complete frickup in basically every way and he’s nothing but a liability, if that wasn’t obvious enough by him trotting around a bunch of dirty old whores in public like that’s cool while he’s supposed to be an adult mentor for a good amount of kids who didn’t grow up in a good situation and actually need someone to look up to. His coaching is embarrassing, but his ridiculous trashy irresponsible, unprofessional behavior is 10x worse IMO.

Let’s move on to local sports media. This is the first time in my life that I haven’t heard a single offseason report from anyone close to the program. I’m guessing O’s little fat slimeball friend Derek aka Tiger Ree has been doing slimeball things and getting the media in propaganda lockstep?

And on top of that, we’ve got a compliance department that’s dead set on getting rid of every good player we have, a woke university president who has more strict Covid restrictions than Los Angeles and will undoubtedly continue F King’s mission of embarrassing our school and devaluing our degrees, and a local government filled with shitbags who are running the city into the ground and using LSU football as a political bargaining chip rather than supporting the program

I’m not seeing how we can come out of this with John Bel Edwards, Sharon Weston Broome, William Tate, and all of their little lackeys running the show. The incompetence and corruption is too deep, the decisions being made are too political and non-objective, and it’ll take years and years of good leadership to even begin to unravel the entire Louisiana/Baton Rouge/LSU problem before we can move forward and truly rebuild football on a stable foundation. Pretty awful situation

Woodward shares some of the blame for this mess with giving O a blank checkbook to make these horrible hires…some of which Ed makes without even fricking interviewing the person.

Mind boggling the level of incompetence in the program

He’ll bring jimbo over on a 10 year 100 million dollar contract. Honestly how he’s turned AM around I wouldn’t even be mad.

While I agree, I doubt any of these people would have helped the clock mismanagement, defensive ineptitude, and terrible O-line play last night

I agree and I’m not saying they would have. My post was just commentary on our off-field issues. Anyone who thinks this is as simple as firing Ed O isn’t seeing how bad things are from top to bottom

You missed Woodward’s big mistake, which was giving Orgeron a $7 million per year salary guaranteed for something like six years.

Sorry. Didn’t intend to down vote. 1000 Up votes! You are right on! If I were Woodward, I’d seriously consider any job offer a better one. And go! He doesn’t deserve all the crap that is coming.

Yep

“BuT NicK sAbAn iS wOkE!!!”

No, Nick Saban pretends to be woke and plays the game. Does Alabama have an ultra liberal CRT president? Or a liberal corrupt governor who threatens to cancel the season every 20 days? Or any of the other disgusting local politicians who are sucking their cities dry?

But Nick Saban pretended to care about BLM 2 years ago so clearly Alabama is just as woke and fricked up as we are from a systemic standpoint. Lol

I’m not even that mad about it, from what I’ve heard it’ll be very easy to fire him with cause and avoid the buyout, and he 100% deserves it

Seriously these dumbasses are saying we lost because we went "woke" while playing a pac-12 team in Los Angeles. We need a new coach but if you pussies want you quit on our football team then please go ahead, we don't need you. Also it's not hard to turn a program around when you bring in top 5 recruiting classes

UCLA sucks too and they have hundreds of homeless people shitting in their fricking streets. Los Angeles isn’t a good hill to die on buddy, just because UCLA was the slightly less shitty team yesterday doesn’t make their awful politics “good”

We lost because we’re making affirmative action/political/good ole boy hires, we have awful people running the university, city, and state, and we’re generally just operating like Louisiana has operated since Huey P Long turned us into the most corrupt state in the union. It’s not hard to figure out for anyone who has a slight amount of political knowledge and understanding of Louisiana history

Imagine a bunch of Woke dumb asses running this state , Our school and our cities, all whom are involved in making decisions about LSU academics and sports programs. Yes what happened last night is direct effect on LSU's performance last night. It is whom they put in place that directs the outcomes and the outcome speaks for itself.

Some folks are just hellbent on making this about Woodward lol.

Orgeron isn’t his guy. He didn’t do the contract knowing he couldn’t get out of it. He’s not stupid.

The funds are there but won’t be needed bc Orgeron has done enough as you said to be fired for cause when they decide to do it.
