73 years old, first LSU game was Band Night in 1963.
Listened to 1971 Notre Dame game on AFN at 0300 German time.
Returned to LSU fall semester 1972 and made every home game during my 3 years in Baton Rouge.
To me this feels like a rerun of the 1974 season where the wheels came off.

A very few paid for their own season tickets back in the Archer - Hallman - Dinardo eras. They just don’t know.

Kelly gets to finish the season and revamp the offensive staff for 2026
He put all his eggs inside the Nuss Bus and it bit him in his balls. Have to find a mobile QB in the portal.

Been a fan since 1989 (not birth year btw)
LSU alum (undergrad and post-grad)
Changes have to occur sooner rather than later. Current trajectory is not sustainable. Change the offensive staff or Head Coach (which also fixes the former). The LSU brand is in jeopardy and we cannot risk a drastic loss in revenue or support.

So because the older of us have seen bad LSU football and missing bowl games every year we should now be happy that we go 8-4? By that logic if a team sucks then they should never expect to improve and should never expect better.

The fire brian kelly non stop
He is what he is at this point. 8-4/9-3 and that’s it. If you’re good with being LSU’s ceiling, that’s fine. I think most people would prefer that to be the floor.

boycotting the game
I wouldn’t do this. But I also don’t tell people how to spend their time and money.

acting like the sky is falling
The sky’s not falling but reality has set in that this is what LSU is under BK. Hard to be optimistic when the coach hasn’t shown a single reason in 4 years that the program is going to be more than what we see now.

60 yr old. LSU Grad. I think it is time to part ways.
With that said. After graduation, I had season tickets. I drove from Houston for every game, even during Hallman years. Then I moved away 25 years ago and that no longer works. However, if I could I would be there every weekend, win or lose, to support and pull for the Tigers.

68, LSU alum 1982, fan since I was 4 years old listening on the radio. Every time an LSU coach is hired, many folks immediately call him “the future ex-coach.” Not unique to LSU, but just like the QB the coach gets too much credit/blame for what happens between the sidelines. No matter how astute the fans think they are, no one outside of the program really knows what’s being prepared and called, and how it’s being executed versus the plan. 2019 was a one-time gift that just happened to occur at LSU, and no other coach not named Saban is guaranteed to bring anything close to consistent excellence.
I had to learn to either be realistic with expectations and enjoy the ride, or else be miserable based on how LSU football doesn’t live up to some unachievable standard. The thing that may finally drive me away is not the win totals or even the quality of play, but the circus atmosphere the games have become - but that’s another topic.
Having said all that, the head coach is ultimately responsible for the product, and to the terms of his contract. The obscene amounts of money involved (players’ portion included) complicates everything. The easiest thing to say is “Fire the coach”; much harder is ensuring an overall upgrade if you do.
