He’s nowhere near as good as Hurts was in college. At this point JD has more pass attempts than Hurts for their career yet hurts had 90TD passes to JDs 47, Hurts had nearly 1,000 more yards passing, 1,100 more yards rushing and 20 more rushing TDS. Again JD has more passing attempts than Hurts already in his career.

I’m not disagreeing with you just pointing out that when we use him correctly he’s much better both running and passing.

Man I think you are relying too much no stats Hurts build on an OP Bama team and weakass big12 schedule for one year. Hurts was not a good QB

So he’s not good because he won 90% of his games at Bama and he’s not good because when he went to a lesser team he broke records and got to the playoffs? JD was at a lesser team for multiple seasons and only one year with the big boys. He got more opportunities to throw yet still isn’t close to Hurts production. Hurts got taken in the 2nd round, JD is the 10th ranked QB in his class which means he won’t be drafted. Tearing down one player with zero evidence to elevate another past him isn’t an argument. It’s just pure bias and denial.

He reverted back to old tendencies of waiting too long to throw vs A&M. He needs to do what he did vs Ole Miss & Bama and trust his receivers and make quicker decisions to run/pass.

I said he hasn’t carried the team to victories on his own especially with his arm

Jayden needs to be given a lot of credit for the last drive vs the Noles. Not his fault we botched the PAT.

Yes, outstanding on that drive. ATM wasn’t his fault either, the D cost us that game.

We will never know how Nussmeier or Walker would have developed. Hats off to JD5. But he is limited and limits us

He's definitely the best option. He's just has to see field better....

I think LSU is probably 0-12 without Daniels. Every single snap would be a fumble without him there to catch it.

he didn't lead us to to the game tying touchdown pass vs bama or the overtime touchdown run on his own or the 2 point conversion pass?

That was a great run but on his own??? Besides the call and initial flow to short side catching and sealing Bama for the most part there were 3 really good blocks downfield including Williams hustling down the field and Brian Thomas making Ricks disappear.

I doubt it. Without Daniels, Brennan would have stayed. I think we would have been 8-4. Probably flip the Bama game. We would have been less multi-dimensional, because Brennan can’t run, but our passing game would have been worlds better.

Agree we would not have had the season we had without Daniels. Likely a 6-6 season at best. But Daniels is not the guy who will win us a championship. He is too selfish and will likely not improve his skills to win us a championship. Bring on Walker Howard. He is our future!
