Without Jayden this team would be 6-6 or worse

He got us to 9-3 and if he just hands the ball off probably 10-2. Kids super talented. Just a week or two ago we were talking about this kid holding a spot in New York for the HEISMAN TROPHY and now people want him benched. He hit a bump in the road these last two games. Let’s see how he responds in Atlanta. I wouldn’t bet against this kid.

He's going to be fine. His problem right now is mental not physical. This board is just overreacting

There’s no way of knowing how we’d have done with another QB. Daniels had a solid season but didn’t carry us to any wins on his own. When he was asked to do that we lost.

I agree Daniels Is fine and a good player but I’d argue it’s the offensive design that’s hurting him. We rely on his arm way too much.

he didn't lead us to to the game tying touchdown pass vs bama or the overtime touchdown run on his own or the 2 point conversion pass?

interesting

The majority of the fan base projected anywhere from 5-7 to 7-5 as our final record.

We dropped our first game against FSU, but JD showed flashes on the final drive.

We beat Bama, Florida, Ole Miss, Auburn, Mississippi State.

We are currently 9-3 and have won the West and have a chance to win the SEC and play in the sugar bowl in YEAR 1.

With JD as our QB. There’s been ALOT more positive than negative with him. But our fan base LOVES to hate on someone.

Even if it’s the guy who’s accounted for over 3300 total yards and 26 total Touchdowns.

It’s mind blowing

his running is a weapon but I wish he didn't rely on it so much. open receivers begging for the ball downfield.

"WE" were not talking about a spot in NY for the Heisman. Caleb Williams, Hendon Hooker, Max Duggan, Bryce Young, and CJ Stroud are all LIGHT YEARS better than JD. I haven't even mentioned RB"s who are more deserving.

Personally, I don't think JD should even be MENTIONED on television when it comes to the Heisman. Pump your brakes homie!

He's done well for LSU but he's still the same guy with 2 games where he passed for less than 90 yards.

That’s a straw man, I didn’t say he never led us on a drive or important score, I said he hasn’t carried the team to victories on his own especially with his arm. When we’re at our best we’re using him in the running game and running the ball on early downs. When we’re at our worst we’re dropping him back 35-40 times and throwing on first down all the time.

agreed.

There would be no bitching if our defense had any semblance of a pulse Saturday.

Daniels has tremendous upside. He just has to get out of his own head and trust his receivers.

This is his first year of actual coaching. He relied on raw talent at ASU and he wasn't playing SEC defenses every week. This is totally new for him.

He's shown he can pass the ball efficiently this year, he's just battling something mental right now. He didn't just forget how to throw overnight

The thing is he’s a run first guy and when our offense has played well vs good teams he’s averaged 18-20 rushing attempts per game. Other Run first QB didn’t have WRs with big numbers either but they still won a lot. Look at Percy Harvin with Tebow, around 40-50 catches, look at Cams WRs, look at Nick Marshall’s WRs. You’re right we have guys open but our QB isn’t being used the right way.

He doesn’t push the ball downfield. You can say he’s efficient but his passer rating is lower than Danny Etling’s and we’re ranked 106th in ypa because he doesn’t create chunk plays in the passing game. Again I don’t put it on him, he defines gives you a unique skill set but there’s a template for guys like him, we’re just not following it.

The 1st half of the season he was the entire offense. Cut it out. He also led us to wins against ole miss and bama. He's been such a key component to our team that teams are changing their defenses to mush rush and drop 8 in coverage. JD has been and is the offense for LSU.

Is it really overreacting when he has been terrible against Ark and A&M?

We didn’t start winning until we started leaning on the running game. We went from around 120 in the games you’re talking about to around 200ypg rushing during the wining steak. He’s a big part of the running game but to pretend he’s carried us with his arm is just false.
