We don't need Phil knight Florida and other major schools have been great at all 3 major sports. There is nothing holding LSU back besides our AD and Predident.

It would take a new arena...not a continually refurbished one...and football-size money to literally drag a top-flight coach into Baton Rouge.

Then, it can BEGIN to turn. Even with that, it would take 3-5 years, and alot of prayers.

What we need is a Dale Brown kind of coach who can put us in the upper echelons before the rant ruins his recruiting by deciding that he is under performing !

All LSU needs is a salesman coach like Dale Brown who could coach like Rick Pitino or Billy Donovan and we would be.

The real problem is "Snow Peas Joe" finding and hiring the right coach.

Does anybody have confidence that he can do that?

He's 0-3 in Basketball HC hires so far and we all just witnessed how he handled the Football HC hire.

I'm so ready for this guy to seek employment elsewhere.

There are many experienced and talented AD's across the country that have high standards of excellence for their respective schools..............

WHO THE frick WOULD DOWNVOTE THIS POST?!

Is there seriously ANYONE on this board who thinks JA is worth a shite?

Disagree respectfully and we better hope this is not the case. Look at butler a few years back they hired a young grad assistant and he made them a national champ contender consistantly. We Arnt going to get the things you're hoping for so our alternative has to be making smart hires recruiting good coachable 3+ year players who can sustain winning and inspire recruiting. These are cheap possible solutions and with our AD the only solutions we will get. We have those types of ayers on the roster now we just need a good coach.

Well we just had two 20 win seasons in a row under Johnny Jones. It's definitely possible but they're in a hole now.

ETA: Make that 4 practically

Yes, with a new coach, good center, small and power forward and really good bench players.

No doubt LSU can be, but it will be a steep climb to get fan enthusiasm back.

Say we had a Phil Knight type alum who wanted to throw virtually unlimited money at the problem.

It hasn't worked for Oregon, so I can't figure out why it would work here.
