Will’s mouth got him/us in trouble - Only he can get himself/us out of trouble

The Admin and BOD’s hands are tied. Quit all of this Free Wade crap. It doesn’t matter who else is doing the same thing, the FBI caught him with highly dubious dialogue, and the main thing that we need to guard against is getting a massive probation since the NCAA, the sporting world, and the FBI are swarming around our program like fire ants. Only Wade can get himself/us out of trouble and not have our athletic department wrecked. I love his coaching and this (best in 30 years) team, but his ethics are in major doubt until he comes clean so we can know the entire story.

Why is the FBI swarming around our program and why haven't they been doing so for the last year and a half?
Nothing that has come out in the last 6 months is new to them. They knew of this conversation a year and a half ago. So, why are they now swarming around our program? Or did you just make this up?

Again no one is really arguing that if the transcripts are accurate it's bad... The argument is that these transcripts are not even court evidence (yet), but a leak to the media by an anonymous source... So there's no way to authenticate them or confirm that they haven't been doctored in some way.

There is no law out there that says if someone is subpoened as a potential witness, that they can't talk to their employer.
WW doesn't want to talk to LSU, I'm guessing, because the things he has to say aren't going to be pretty.
If WW was squeaky clean, he would go to the admin and tell them just that. When you have nothing to hide, you have no fear of speaking.
Yet, we now have, 1) WW refusing to talk to his boss and 2) a statement that in no way denies anything or insinuates it's not true. So that's two data points that tells us there is probably more fact to this than we want to admit.

Wade needs to meet with the supervisors, period.

I don't think the FBI cares about LSU, Will Wade, or any other coach or program. This is about the people who pay the money - that's who they are going after.
But for the FBI to prove those cases, they need the evidence which comes from tracking programs. And that's how LSU and WW are stuck in this mess.

Correct
The outrage is over the fact that our admins let the media be the judge, jury, and executioner.
There is no new info that we didn't know about before the season began. The fact that they all of sudden find it necessary to suspend him is what is outrageous.
not to mention suspending him now does nothing. We are either screwed or we are not. If the reports are true and there is evidence of wrong doing, LSU gets the same punishment whether Wade and Smart are on the team for the rest of the season or not.
All they did was make the coach and player look guilty based on media reports. And we all know that the media isn't always trustworthy.
Plain and simple, the admins should have let this hing play out in court and then let the NCAA investigation (if one follows) play out and then you issue the punishment based on actual facts, not media outrage.

Not arguing he's clean, but the admin (one of whom literally worked for Duke) should know how this game is played... Why would they even call that meeting now, there are so many ways you can spin the Yahoo stuff to basically kick the can down the road until the trial without looking like there's LOIC.

A boss that can't see this situation for what it is and needs to suspend the coach for following his lawyer's advice has little dick syndrome. And also has no clue how PR works (as previously shown in the UF debacle and the coaching search fails.)
By suspending Wade he fed the media frenzy and made the situation worse.
And if the suspension was only for insubordination, why was Smart suspended?
