Well can someone explain it? I watched the Wire and still don’t get it

Frustrating that someone acts like they know what it means and still doesn’t take the time to explain it to the rest of us

I’ll guess. Omar is the guy on the left. Omar was a gay drug dealer if I remember correctly. Tate likes drug filled gay orgies?

Explain it then.

Stringer(2nd in command of the Barkdales operation) was effectively running a shadow operation… kept having to cover his arse with more schemes and lies … it eventually caught up with him

Story way deeper concerning the two gentlemen in the picture… you should watch for more clarity

Wire season 3? Omar and brother Mouzane.

I kind of get it but don’t know who they parallel in the real life LSU drama playing out at present.

Nonetheless Wire is the Greatest TV show of all time.

Quick Google search led me to this conclusion:
Guys name in The Wire is Omar
Omar gets killed on the street

Omar is name of Temu Tiger Landry tried to pass off as Mike

Omar = Landry & getting killed on the street = Landry’s political career

Or

These two characters were manipulated by the same man

ETA
I’ll have to put it on my watch list, looks like a good show

So Tate is basically saying he and Woodward were both manipulated by the same man? (I’m assuming Landry)

I've watched The Wire twice as an adult and I still don't understand the meaning.

Omar's famous line in the wire, at his trial, was something like "we're all part of the same corrupt game, right? You got the briefcase and I got the shotgun". Or something like that. Basically everyone is complicit in a corrupt and morally bankrupt system

So it is with LSU Athletics.

“If you come at the king you best not miss.” Landry took everyone out including himself, lol.

Omar robbed the drug dealers and stacked bodies. But he was very gay. I don’t get the meaning behind Tate’s post though.

The Wire is old now. It’s not realistic anymore like it was. The drug dealing operations are so advanced now. It’s like watching the special effects from 25 years ago and comparing it to now. Still good acting just not realistic anymore. The time to watch it was 15-20 years ago.

All are complicit in a morally bankrupt system.

That's the message of Omar (and the wire in general) and probably Tate. He's making a very negative comment about LSU and Louisiana.
