Actually.. I have a pretty nice LSU polo type golf shirt that I've had since Christmas 2006. I've worn it to tons of games, football, basketball, and baseball, and LSU has never lost when I've worn it. And I haven't just worn it against cupcakes, it's been worn to big games. But it is gold.

By that token, how does everyone wearing the same colored shirt have an effect on the outcome of the game?
It looks cool on TV for sure, but I don't think color coordinating the fans necessarily affects anything we see on the field. The only way for fans to affect a game is by cheering as loud and as often as possible.
Of course, I will be wearing my gold on Saturday anyway.

Doubtful. If I were able to be there I would be in gold but I just dont see it happening throughout the stadium.

How bout inspiring the old folks to stand up and yell for a change. TS is known for it's ear splitting sound in case you forgot, that's showing support for the team. And face paint does too.
Me personally, I dislike the whole let's all dress alike to make it pretty. It's lame and the ones who come on here making post after post about how everyone else should do it are the lamest of the lame.

Bubba and his significant other can only afford one XXX size shirt a season and this year they bought purple at Wal-Mart.
I'd rather have Bubba and his other just be there than some dude in gold who doesn't know a TD from a first down.

there are 20 or so in our tailgate that will all be wearing gold.
for those that really want this to work why dont you all go buy 5 or 10 gld tshirts. the cost per individual would be like $25. Bring them to the game and hand them out to anyone in purple or other dark color. (white will fade into the gold background in small numbers)

This is the very reason most of the country thinks LSU has the most arrogant fan base in the nation. But we all know that it only takes a few assholes to ruin everything. All those people sayng they are wearing purple or white are the very people that give our fanbase a bad name. GET THE frick OVER YOURSELVES AND WEAR GOLD!!!!!
