I've harped often in the last few years the revenue potential that LSU has ignored with basketball.

It is literally the #2 revenue and profit sport and the #1 for many smaller schools. But it also rivals football in top money profit.

The issue has been the negligence of the value basketball benefits LSU.

I remember people freaking out about this.
The guy’s not gonna go from school to school building up programs, then leaving. He just means he took the reins at VCU and maintained what they already established. He wants to build LSU up to a powerhouse... which in year two he seems to have the capability to do so. I don’t think he’s going anywhere anytime soon.

That’s just me speculating.. I don’t know the guy personally to be 100% certain

Will Wade is going to lead LSU to more conference wins this year than Johnny’s last 2 years combined.

If wade gets a final 4 in his second season that would be the most amazing job in the history of sports

It’s up to the administration and fans to make LSU Will Wade’s permanent residence and not a springboard. The last four home games are huge for answering the fan part of things, then it’s up to Alleva to come up with the cash to make this man WEALTHY.

The only teams Wade would leave LSU for would be UK, Duke, UNC, Michigan St, and maybe Michigan.

I would say you could certainly add:
UCLA
Kansas
Indiana

and maybe Louisville

I'd throw Syracuse into the maybe group too when Boeheim retires.

Yeah, he's done nothing to back it up either... You know just sitting first in the SEC with 6 games to go, but your butt buddy JJ was a much better coach with those two conference wins in his last year and the absolute wasting of LSU's most talented player this decade

UCLA is the one to worry about. I’ve heard there is interest there

LSU basketball is lucky to have a coach of his caliber after a bleak decade
LSU is lucky to have had a former Assistant AD that played college basketball who was pro-active in the search.

Aramarkalleva never would have found Wade. We'd still be struggling with some god knows who coach in the Johnson-Jones-Fargas mold.

I think the meaning of a blueblood is getting lost here. Florida was a successful as any, and I mean any of those teams you mentioned, but they were never considered one of them...i.e. a blueblood.

Blue blood is like old money. You can become rich and make as much money as them but you are still not part of the fraternity.

Why would anyone be interested in him with the FBI crashing down amirite???

Some of y’all are so pathetic. You can’t have it both ways. Catastrophe syndrome at its best folks.

Coach doing great....oh god the fbi is gonna burn the whole thing down....nothing happens...oh god Coach is gonna leave

Grow a set.

Coach Wade ain’t interested in leaving. IDGAF what anyone says. He took this job with the vision of being here for a very long time.

Y’all acting like LSU isn’t a destination job need to look at history. When has LSU had an immensely successful and popular coach of anyone one of the big 3 sports leave for another college job?

Saban? No
Bertman? No
Miles? No
Brown? No

Stfu with this bullshite. Will Wade is a friend of a colleague. He’s cool here. Trust what he’s doing

Also said he plans to add to our sec titles, ncaa tourney appearances and final four appearances. I expect him to do all of those things in the next 3 years then to move on to somewhere else unfortunately

If he does these things there would be no reason for him to leave. LSU is a big name school and has the resources. There's a big difference when coaches do this at a smaller school than move on than when they do it at a school like LSU.

The NBA is one thing. I have a hard time imagining him building LSU into a powerhouse and then bolting to another school unless we just refuse to pay him. But this is all so speculative and looking so far into the future that I don’t really see the point of trying to discuss it.

I really thought your retarded arse had dissapeared during this great season.

Maybe you’re a troll, maybe you’re JJ’s illegitimate child, but either way, if you’re not impressed with what Wade has done in just a couple of seasons, you’re the biggest moron on tigerdroppings.
