I’d rather see Wade end up at NC State than somewhere in the SEC. Seeing us get Saban’d in basketball would be awful. Not that it would really matter for the time being since our program’s stock is plummeting at the moment.

It would be a good move for both parties imo.
Everyone knows how i feel about tPear, but he isn’t coming back and it’s even more unlikely Woodcount takes the hubris shot of even considering re-hiring him. And here’s the thing…we *could* do just as good if not better than Wade. Again LOVE the guy, but he’s got his flaws. He had us in a great spot but we probably wouldn’t quite get to the heights bama and auburn have reached. We were a sweet 16 ceiling program but that’s ok. Again, we can do just as good if not better. You need an energetic salesman similar to pear but with a slightly better coaching background and acumen.

I don’t agree with this.
He was neck and neck with Bama when he left. Both programs were getting better. Wade got fired with his best team coming in.

I wish the OP and others so inclined would cool it with all these Wade speculation threads.
Most of us are realistic enough to understand that WW is going to someday leave McNeese for a different coaching job that certainly will pay more.
We just don’t know for certain when that will happen.
