If the football players got that same treatment you would be throwing a hissy fit, saying how LSU isn't giving Orgeron all the tools he needs to be successful.

mhctigers, your post is off topic and wrong.
For one Wade is not talking about the PMAC. Why did you even bring that up in reference to Wade. Some of the posters on this board focus on the PMAC, but Wade agreed to come to LSU with the practice facility improvements on his promise list from "slow" Joe. That's the off topic portion.
The wrong portion is your point about LSU basketball having outstanding facilities. Sources other than Wade have said our facility is not outstanding in the SEC, much less compared to the elite programs across the country. Wade has said that VCU had a better set up in many respects.
We have a great coach in Wade. I hope that he stays here and hope that he can stay clear of the NCAA!
Let's upgrade the practice facility. I've donated to the project. All fans that are able should donate. Talk to your friends and family. Call TAF and donate to the project!

He is a physco. In a good way I guess. This is ankle biter stuff. For wade to kind of pile on and make negative comments about perceived deficiencies some of which have been long known... PMAC .. for instance.. not good timing. LSU basketball has outstanding facilities. Could they be better yes. At this point we have had one season. We might have a bunch of sold tickets but our actual attendance is very light. We have an awful home preseason schedule. Awful as in very little reason to go to any of the games. Anyway. Looking for a great season. Hoping that the facilities get funded eventually. Making a public fuss rather. Than just talking to Woodward and the TAF was not a good plan.
This guy either doesn't like Wade or doesn't get it. This is the kind of attention to details that separates good from great and great from elite. What is the first thing Saban focused on when he walked on campus at LSU, upgrading facilities and making everything operate efficiently. Wade gets the long term need and I'm thrilled that he is smart enough to focus on the details.

It's not about their being in shape or not. It's about wasting time that could be used to better the players, the team and the program. This is a prime example of Wade's laser-like focus and attention to detail which makes his special.

"How did that get through the design phase, approval by AD and the coaches, etc?"
If it involves La state govt and there's a nickel to be made, they only thought that goes into it is ensuring campaign donors get the work.

There’s a common thread amongst the “fans” who don’t like Coach Wade. They tend to be more loyal not to the school, but to another head coach from a different sport.
Biggest made up bullshite on this site. I have never seen anyone post this opinion.

You’re not paying attention then.
P&G
Chinohyang
Lester Earl
Just to name a few.
They can’t stand the idea of another coach outshining their beloved Orgeron.

Not really. It's not a large group of people but there is definitely a small, vocal group of people that will shite on anything LSU-related that isn't O or related to O in some way. It's a bizarre phenomenon.

Take a look at the Wade bashers in football threads. It's very very sad, but they are extremely insecure and got pissed at the success of Wade.

That's about the same distance walking to Tiger Stadium after we park our cars. The only difference is, we have "boots" on our cars when we return.

Good post.
The guy you responded too had the same reaction I initially did. He probably posted without giving it much thought.
It boils down to time, as you pointed out. NCAA rules dictate the time athletes are allowed to participate in practices, training, etc. Even accounting for time they’d waste if facilities were closer, you’re adding effectively potentially 4 days to there training, depending on how the time is accounted for (I.e. do they sign in once or at each stop, makes a difference).
And there is the selling factor for recruits.
