Gordon McKernan just put his name on the new gym. And I also heard Wayde didn't even tuck his shirt in most of the time.

Are you saying it makes you safer?

The NTSB concluded an extensive study and analyzation of prior data and concluded that they "were unable to attribute increased car accidents to the use of cannabis."

Traffic accidents and fatalities show a statistical decrease in states legalizing medical marijuana. (Attributed to decrease in alcohol consumption).

Numerous other tests have concluded that there IS a slight impairment of motor function, albeit far less than alcohol impairment, but results of testing indicate that "increased awareness" more than compensates for the detriment of the impairment - in other words, stoned people drive carefully....

But don't take my word for it....Google it.

So no proof that it makes you safer, got it.

So no proof that kicking some kid off a team for smoking weed makes the streets safer....got it?

Well, those are the rules we live by until they are changed. It's pretty simple to not smoke weed, especially if your education and job depend on it. Don't you agree?

He should suspend mays for all those missed layups.

Yeah. Let's suspend a guy with a 4.0 gpa...cuz he's had trouble finishing at the rim

Not really, no.

Realistically, I think that sports lags behind general public opinion on such moral and "appearance" issues (the cliche' about "Coach" being a hard-core old-fashioned guy is often true)...but it's unfair to the players that they are held to a higher standard than the general student population, plus we know that SOME schools have more lenient policies and give the kids a "heads-up" before a drug test in case they need to "study".

I don't think smoking weed should get you kicked off a team, and with more and more states legalizing it is inevitable that it's only a matter of time until we stop harrassing athletes over failed marijuana drug tests.

He kinda hasn’t. Like I said he’s been playing for about 3 years. Total project when we took him, he was originally supposed to redshirt until Combs had to medically retire. If the leave of absence thing is true I bet he’ll be back by the end of the season. Galen I doubt it. He’s been trouble since day one.

They are not like any other students. They are on a full ride scholarship. They have the privilege to play a sport at the D1 level, the other 20,000 students don't have that privilege and most are not on a full ride scholarship.

Bottom line is the coach is setting the culture he wants for HIS program.

Whether you agree with pot use or any other of the factors involved with these suspensions, I'm quite sure Wade has been clear about what he expects.

Some kids (3 of the 4 weren't his recruits) just won't be able to toe the line. That's just part of culture building.

So it's WW's obligation to make society safer? He's LSU's basketball coach, not Gotham City's police chief.

These guys have well-established rules to abide by if they want to maintain their roles as scholarship athletes. These guys have stepped outside of those commitments multiple times now. It's really pretty cut and dry.

Not really. It's one game. Rachal's suspension is part of his development.

Yawn.

One game suspensions but click-bait media headlining it like they are long term.

Bottom line: Wade jettisons two non-contributing bad apples.

Move along. Nothing to see here.
