I did say those things...in response to a post saying we would be scared to play against the incoming class. I also agreed with you previously that we would have hard time winning, even with Jordan Brown.
But back to my “factual statement.” I said Brown is rated higher than any Tiger commit. And you replied with a list of commits that are impressive, yet lower rated than Brown???

lol. For the record, I don't have a problem with playing the state schools more, but I think Marlin killed any chance of that any time soon. Really poor taste on his part. There were so many, much more diplomatic ways to say he felt his team deserved a higher seeding without taking the shots that he took. Honestly, I don't understand the outrage from Lafayette about Wade's response. What did they expect him to say or do?
Now had Marlin just acted like he's been through the tournament seeding stuff before and taken the high road, we'd probably be having a totally different discussion about our schools playing one another going forward

If he signs with y'all then I have to question his mentality. He may be wanting to get the hell away from something in California or sees a chance to play where he doesn't have to worry about going to school.

Marlin and the Lafayette sports media know their fan base is the lowest common denominator. This allows Marlin to make “factually accurate” statements like he did. However, anyone with half a brain working at a 10% knows RPI isn’t the only determinant used by the committee. Might be tough since none of the recruiting analysts have ULL with any reasonable chance of signing him. Seems its all CAL or UCLA. Interesting that the number 16-27th ranked player would be down to those two, ULL, Gonzaga, & St. John's. Wonder how many more offers he got?
