Relying on the legs of a QB in the SEC?

It’s not the same as running around the edge against Tulsa

Your premise is wrong.

How do you know that's the case?

Yep. He's totally new to the SEC. Never seen them in action, never played against them. Literally just woke up from a coma yesterday from 1950. He's in for a ruuuuude awakening.

This is a valid question if BK is calling Daniels the starter because of his legs over a better pocket passer. Let's remember BK's record against the top dogs of the SEC is not that good. Yes, he's got more talent here than any team he's ever coached, but he is going up against the SEC on a weekly basis now.

Daniels had a really good freshman season throwing the football (61%, 2943 yards, 17 TD, 2 INT). Even if he had 10 TD to 10 INT last season he still completed over 65% of his passes too.

The notion he cant throw the ball I just dont really get.

With a rebuild on the offensive line, maybe not having a statue back there is a good thing.

They are having to start a true frosh at LT. You need a mobile QB. They did the right thing by letting Bennan know. Feel bad for the kid, but the injuries did him in at LSU.

Let's not forget that was against Pac-10 defenses, if you can call them that.

They dont have to start Will Campbell at all, he's just shown to be the best LT on the team.

Miles Frazier started at LT last year for FIU and played at a high level.

Tre'Mond Shorts started at LT the last 2 years at ETSU and played at a very high level.

Cam Wire has played a ton of snaps at LT starting like 10 games there the past 2 seasons at LSU.

We have plenty of options at LT, Campbell has just beat out everyone. It's not like he doesnt have some experienced competition there. It's not like he only is competing against Marcus Dumervil who has barely ever played or something.

The learning experience will be not to have open fall practice anymore. Denbrock told us no starter will be named until Coach Kelly himself announces it. Either the “media” jumped the gun on him or they’re wrong. Either way it’s something he publicly said he didn’t want to happen.

And, with Az offensive talent surrounding him. Whoever the starter is this year, its probably a one year seat warmer, and then Walker will probably take the reins.

He smoked UCLA last year.

UCLA was ranked 20 at the time because their early season victory over LSU was still considered impressive.

lol wut, have you even seen defenses in the SEC as a whole the last several years? This is a 2015 argument you're using.

Regardless of where ANYONE plays, putting up those kind of numbers he did as a true freshman is impressive. Also, completing over 65% of your passes just last season shows you know how to throw the football.
