This was his 10th best team at Bama. Let that sink in. Lock to win next year.

Also, Young is very young and wasn’t that experienced. He’ll improve.

Yes. They may win it all next year. This was as much of a “rebuilding” year that Bama can have and they were still one quarter away from a National championship.

Bama will be Bama until a couple years after Saban retires. The next coach will be able to ride that wave for a bit before reality sets in.

I think he will another before considering hanging it up. If he wins next year it may be a few more years.

I doubt that but he probably will win another one.

I've wished this every time he's lost and I've also been wrong every time. Not getting my hopes up. I think he could realistically win it next year. Saban is a freak of nature. I don't like it any more than anyone else but that doesn't mean it isn't true.

I think Saban’s time has passed. Bama will compete but come up short. An era of preference has ended.

LOL people said this after 2013 and 2014 then he won the Championship in 2015. They said it again after the 2018 season when he lost to Clemson. He won the Championship in 2020.

Unless Saban retires its not going to be his last National Championship.

No, he will not win another.

He might have a heart attack, or stroke...God forbid.

Saban’s entire life is all about football. That dude will die on the sidelines. Dude loves coaching and will come back next year even more pissed off. He will preach his psychology to some of the key players supporting them to come back next to win another NC

This.

His reactions after beating Auburn and Georgia earlier in the year showed that he really still enjoys the whole coaching life. "That rat poison you fed us this week was yummy."

He isn't going to retire to the ESPN booth any time soon. It is what it is.

Come on man... He got back to the CFP title game with his worse team in like 15 years... He will be back and have a chance to win it before he retires Fo'sho

Saban will retire when he starts getting beat with some regularity, and the NIL has given some wealthy schools the opportunity to buy a championship, so it may be sooner than Saban had hoped. The man hates losing more than almost everyone else.

Noted.

Not trying to get into a big thing about it. Just discussing.

Bryce Young is back as is Will Anderson so who knows. I think saying things definitively at this point is premature but we're just discussing it. Who knows.

Like I said, I think he'll be in the discussion. He's not the kind of guy that can just walk away from coaching (evidently). He doesn't need the money, that's for sure.

We'll see what happens.
