To be honest, Parrish is a pretty good QB who can throw the ball with good accuracy. Check him out, he has been coached well, his footwork is better than alot of freshman QBs I have seen coming out of high school. If he develops at a rapid rate it wouldn't be nothing for him to start over Myles Brennan. Coach O said he couldn't sleep after watching Parrish workout at one of the camps and didn't offer him a scholarship. He offered the next day immediately. The kid is nice.

I'm guessing "nice" is the cute little word of the week because I've seen it used a few times referring to players. It's copycat, but it's also a little creepy.

Parrish got a couple mentions on Dandy's this morning. One was from Jim Kleinpeter and the other from Coach Eaux.
Kleinpeter:
"Peter Parrish was a pleasant surprise. He's got some arm strength and was just as accurate as Burrow."
Coach Eaux:
"Orgeron said freshman quarterback Peter Parrish broke off a 60-yard run in the portion of practice closed to the media."
CaptainPanic should be along shortly to discount the above statements and tell us how great Tua is doing for the Tide and how Parrish pales in comparison.

Peter Parrish is really good so far in camp.
He has been as accurate as Burrow.
Has a strong arm.
Mobility has been outstanding so far.

Thank you Ree.
I know what I saw. I didn't see the 60 yard run but did see him execute some very accurate passes.
I just want the best for LSU whoever is the field
The kid is very athletic and very accurate to my suprise.

Will Peter Parrish be our Taysom Hill?
It certainly is a an interesting thought. If we can develop an offense that can stay on the field, this is a wrinkle that would be hard to defend. We’ll see...

Jontre Kirklin is a better candidate for what you’re describing

parrish is & will remain a 3rd string QB. W/the talent of this team, no way does he see the field.

Just cause he’s black doesn’t mean he should become a damn receiver.
In this case, he is a pretty effective passer for a dual threat QB.
Senior season he was 63/95, for 5 TDs and, wait for it, 0 interceptions.
Compare that to his junior year where he threw more (with slightly fewer completions), and threw 9 TDs, but with 4 INTs. Very mobile, averaging over 7 yards per carry as a junior and senior (and about 300 yards each season).

Parish is extremely athletic.. 4.5 40 4.3 shuttle and an above average arm. Brennan has 1st round NFL arm talent so next year is his job to lose. But performing on the big stage takes more than talent. We’ve seen talented QBs be good practice warriors but couldn’t do it on game day. Myles will have to prove it on Sat nights if not PP will get his shot. Also can MB withstand a season at 200 lbs? So I hope Parish is ready by next year so if he gets a package or two n a few non-conf games it won’t hurt my feelings

This is a narrow minded perspective. Aggressive offensive minds see "gadget plays" as an opportunity to gain chunk yardage or possible touchdowns. More importantly, these type of plays & others that are spun off them using the same personnel groupings/formations, provide another aspect for future opponents to spend time prepping for in the film room & on the practice field.
Tigers have more weapons than they have ahd in years with aa deep and talented reciver corps. Any gadget plays should go to Trey Palmer or Derrick Dillon.

quote:no, I don't like telegraphed runs by the new QB brought it. Same reason I don't like the wildcat - teams run 99% of the time out of that formation.
I would not mind a few running situations with him to spare Burrow from taking expected hits for certain plays. But, taking Burrow off the field takes away play fakes. You won't have the element of surprise if same play is not in to run similar plays.
Just calls plays to keep the defense guessing and off balance. If Burrow runs too much for our liking, the coaches need to tell him to get OOB or slide more, to avoid unnecessary hits.
But don't pull our QB for this reason.
