There's nothing hypothetical about wanting to play a game closer to home against a more favorable matchup. That's common sense.

True. LSU fans don’t travel well or make a lot of noise.

So what’s the setup ? Obviously I understand 1 vs 4 , 2 vs 3 but locations wise?

Their schedule is not that back-loaded. Neither Michigan nor Penn State is that good. Army beat Michigan everywhere but the scoreboard.

You think more LSU fans will be in Atlanta or Phoenix? This can't be that hard to understand

Don’t think that matters Phoenix is a lot better place to visit than fricking Atlanta. Many will travel no matter what

I think we'll travel well to Phoenix, but it's absolutely more of an advantage to be in Atlanta, especially if we play Utah or Oregon.

All depends on how both teams look and how the teams they beat end up in the rankings. Whoever gets the 1 seed has a big advantage because they wouldn't face Clemson first. Another point is this college football and anything can happen. Snow is currently forcasted in Columbus this Saturday and Ohio State hasn't looked very shape the next game after playing Penn State the past years so even if my Buckeyes beat them they might look sloppy against Michigan. Too many what ifs to worry about. Lets just enjoy the rest of this regular season.

That number 4 could be Bama. Do not want that matchup again don’t care if Uncle Rico is at the helm.

What kind of pussy arse shite is this? The Tigers would bury Bama with Mac Jones at QB. Beating them twice in the same season would go beyond just two victories on the scoreboard.

It’s not that I don’t think we couldn’t beat them it’s just not a matchup I want to see again. What you don’t understand is I’m Uncle Rico’s biggest fan.

Would I like to see that matchup again? No but I also understand the ramifications beating Alabama for a second time would bring.

Look, many don't see it but that program is not what it once was. There are cracks in the foundation of Saban's program there. The opportunity to kick them while they are down & not at full strength is priceless.

The win against them was great but to beat them in the playoffs completely removes the aura of invincibility when it comes to that program for us & hopefully other programs in the SEC.

We have already seen the spike interest by top recruits for this upcoming class but a second win versus Bama really would open the eyes for 2021+ recruits. It should show them that LSU is on the way up while Bama is on the way down.

There's more pluses to beating Alabama in the playoffs than you realize.

Beating 5 top 10 teams will not be good enough.

Not so sure man. They play 3 ranked teams in a row to close out the season. I think they get bumped up above us.

There’s no guarantee that being seeded #1 gives that team the best real world matchup.

Sometimes being #2 would give the better matchup.

Absolutes are not always correct.

If you accept that Ohio St, LSU, and Clemson are the three best teams in the country then playing the 4th seed is preferential.

We need to make a statement to secure it over the next 3 games. Any LSU fan should Clemson and Ohio State to play each other while we get a lesser Oregon/Oklahoma/Utah.
