Will O be on the “Hot Seat” in 2018? Now after ND?

Don’t know... but here’s a look at what “Hot Seat” was in considered in 2015 versus the 2017 season...
For comparison sake we will use the 2015 Miles “Hot Seat” season where he went 8-3 in the regular season with the cancellation of the McNeese State game (a highly probable win)and finished 9-3
This is a good barometer for the program status:
In 2017, O is 6-2 with 2 wins against a team with a winning SEC record. Counting TAMU because they were 4-3 when we played them (ended at 4-4).
In 2015 Miles was 5-3 in SEC games. 3 of the five had a winning records TAMU and MSU were both 4-4. Again LSU gave them a loss so they were 4-3 without the LSU game.
If you drop the 4-4 teams it is eerily similar as follows with wins over 7 win teams:
In 2015 LSU beat UF who won the east.
In 2017, LSU beat AU who won the west.
The main difference between the 2 seasons was the Strength of Schedule
In 2017, the SoS is 49.
Massey Rating of 21
2015, SoS was Number 2
Massey Rating of 6

I didn't realize a worthless wall of text could make a hangover worse, but I was sadly mistaken

The Oflakes will burn you at the stake, but none of them will have a single substantive retort to offer as you burn. Have an upvote

Are you really posting this after finishing 6-1.
After turning around a disastrous season.
Beating a possible playoff team that just took Bama to the wood shed.
Has the team pointed in the right direction.
Team is playing with confidence.
Recruiting finally heating up.
I can understand this thread after the 3-2 start, but now?
This is the kind of attitude that was killing the LSU brand.
Don't you get tired of people trashing LSU?
We don't need many enemies, many are our own fans.
I often wonder if some of you are mildly retarded.

Getting shut out against a winless-in-the-SEC Arkansas team and then getting blown out by them again in Tiger Stadium by 17 will put you on the hot seat.

So suffering the worse loss against a 4-4 SEC MississippiState team and suffering a home loss AT HOME by a Troy team - which Miles never did against a OOC opponent in 10+ seasons don’t matter?

Coach O is very similar to Gene Chizik imo - except I don't think he'll bring us a Cam Newton a.k.a. a National Championship.
Once he has a subpar season, he's gone.

If he finishes 10-3, and I believe he will, then clearly he will not begin the season on any kind of hot seat.
His goal, as with any coach, is to not create a hot seat for himself. But he will not be on one going into the season.

Of course it matters, but they finished strong, had the big comeback win against Auburn and have a chance at 10 wins. O was basically on the hot seat earlier in the season, but his buyout was so damn big that it's more realistic that he will be on the hot seat in the future if a team like Troy beats him again or if LSU gets hammered by State in consecutive years.

No, and here's why. (To clarify I'm not an Oflake or Anti-CLM. I don't care who the coach is at LSU as long as they win.)
Not all 8-3 or 9-3 regular seasons are created equal.
In 2015 LSU started out 7-0 and got to #4 in the country before ending the year losing 3 of the last 5. This was the same thing that happened the year before when we lost 3 of the last 4. Even when we were 7-0 we could never run away from teams. Go back and look at the games against E. Mich, Syracuse, and W. Kentucky. They were all close games at half. With that said, the part that ultimately did CLM's tenure in was his inability to let an offensive coordinator do his job. The QB development was piss poor under Miles and it was becoming obvious that without adapting, LSU was going to be caught and passed up by the rest of the SEC, and we were.
Move to 2017, LSU starts the season at 3-2 while missing a lot of depth on both the OL and DL due to transfer, injury, etc. They are also trying to get comfortable with a new OC and a new system. They dealt with the speed bumps along the way and finally hit rock bottom after Troy. Then they finished the season winning 6 of their last 7 and in the loss to Bama, actually out gained them on offense, which hadn't happened in a while. There is hope now in a large portion of the fan base that the offensive talent on the team will actually be used and get a chance to make plays.
I know the CLM fans/Anti-O people will never understand the argument just like the adamant pro-Trump/Hillary crowds will never understand the other side, but in the end LSU and CLM needed to part ways. CLM (God bless the man) was too conservative for today's CFB world. His control the clock and win close was always going to have LSU at 3 losses. While that is not bad, it isn't where everyone wants to be, so they pulled the plug after the 2-2 start in 2016, missed on Jimbo and Herman, then hired Coach O who by all accounts this year, did a pretty damn good job considering the start of the season.
