Every loss will put him, or ant LSU coach on the hot seat.

Good post! The part about Miles is exactly what was so frustrating while he was here. You put it into words nicely.

This is terribly worked out. What were you thinking? What you did here is textbook reaching. The reason Miles was on the hot seat in 2015 is because of a string of under-achieved seasons and his hard-headedness on offense.

Having said that, if O makes Ensminger OC, he's absolutely on the hot seat.

You misspelled GUS MALZAHN. his offense was great in 2010. He proved how big he was again in 2013 barely losing to Jimbo for natty. Proves he can win without cam. Here he is again this year knocking on the door again.

It is just a set of data and facts are facts...

There is nothing retarded about facts.

The SOS was number 2 in 2015 - 2.

The SOS was 49 this year.
You can’t deny facts...
Similar results against better competition in 2015.

As far as those pointing at the losses in November in 2015, let me point out that that was to the number 1, 5 and 11 rated teams.but hey nobody cares about power ratings...

Until he makes it to the playoffs and/or wins the NC he will be on the "hot seat" after every loss. Such is life in the SEC.

Auburn fans wanted Gus fired BEFORE and after last season's LSU game. They wanted him gone after this season's LSU game. Now they are nervous (albeit maybe unnecessarily) that he will leave them.

Don’t know... but here’s a look at what “Hot Seat” was in considered in 2015 versus the 2017 season...

Are you not bright enough to understand the difference between a coach in his second year rebuilding the talent/experience, and Stubborn arse Miles who was on the hot seat for years?

rebuilding

Emphatically False!
Potentially losing 17 starters this year.

have a chance at 10 wins

Ten wins don't mean shite at LSU. That's been the cry for years. Any dumbass coach can win ten games. How many times has the clowns posted that? Ten wins was mediocre for LSU in the last four seasons, but now it's a great or really good year. Third in the west is being applauded because we played like shite early and played better later.

It's some funny shite how much the goal have been moved in order to make O look better than a average to poor coach.

However, 10 wins is considered a pretty good season overall (LSU only has 9 though at the moment). We want better than that though with LSU's talent. It seems better this year because the beginning of the season looked like we were going to end up like UF and Tennessee did this year. Btw, we would have taken 10 wins in 2014 because we only had 8 that year.

The goal hasn't moved. It is what it is. I didn't even want O, but they ended up doing decent this year. If he doesn't develop a QB who can make plays to beat the teams he needs to beat to make it to the SEC title game, he'll be gone like all these other coaches that aren't meeting their school's expectations.

Well put. Granted some of the anti-O crowd are Les die hards, but many of us saw that Les had to go but we're not happy with hiring O. I hope that he has worked it out and that we are on the rise, but the weakness of our schedule this year does not provide solid evidence of that. Of course O didn't control the schedule, but we can't be sure we've turned a corner because of it.

When what wasn't acceptable to many here suddenly becomes acceptable, the goal post have been moved.

Come on man. We have posters here who claimed ten wins was mediocre and underachieving. Two loses was underachieving. Now some of those same posters are bending over backwards to hail ten wins and three loses as a great, really good, or successful season even with a shite in the bed defeat by Troy.

I'm talking about the goals of those making the decisions. Also, people will put up with some shite in year 1 that won't fly in year 2 of a coach's time at a place. You will always have those that are on polar opposite sides that will try to defend whatever they are in favor of. LSU shouldn't lose to Troy in any year, but I think we all knew he wasn't getting fired this year with a 12-million dollar buyout unless he had a Tennessee-type year.

I know, but across the nation, 10 wins is still considered a pretty good season. LSU has a ton of talent and so 10 wins is a lot more attainable for LSU. It wasn't a great season. It was a pretty good season. A backup transfer from Purdue was the only QB on this roster with any college experience, so we played that out and are 9-3 and have a chance to finish in the top 15. Without the Auburn W, the season probably would be looked at as a failure by most. They didn't get to the SECCG, so they failed in one of the major goals though.

If O has another Troy or State performance next year, he'll be on the hot seat next year and it will be hotter because of the progression of things. That's how it goes and rightly so for that kind of money.

Perennial Top Ten Recruiting classes pre-O to number 17 this year speaks volumes as to where this program is headed.
