If it weren’t for D1 there would be no video stream. No one is forcing anyone to spend their money on the D1 stream.
Holy frick. If it weren’t for D1, this tournament wouldn’t exist. LSU would just be playing a regular 3 game series at Alex Box and it would be broadcast on ESPN. Or they would find another tournament to play in like the Astros Foundation Classic like they did last year. That tournament is streamed for free btw.

Oh yeah? Two years ago, you could just purchase the tournament for $20. This year he made you purchase a D1 subscription in addition to paying $20 for the tournament. Why do you think they did that? To get more money out of you.

I remember when Ronnie Rantz started his little network and broadcast LSU baseball. It wasn’t the best, but it got better and better, and if it weren’t for Rantz putting money up, we wouldn’t have been able to watch as much baseball as we did on Cox.
I remember when Cox first started doing pay for view football games. Again they weren’t the best productions, but yes we got to see LSU on the road thanks to Cox.
Entrepreneurs aren’t going to invest in these type productions if they can’t make money. The people pirating the broadcast are cutting into the guy’s profits; yet people believe it’s their right to watch LSU on tv for free, but it’s not.
Run the guy down, steal his show and when no one broadcasts the games, shut up and don’t complain because you are the blame.

I love D1 baseball and what they do for college baseball, but broadcasting isn’t one of those things. Leave that to ESPN and others who make money off broadcasting

This year with LSU discount was $26. I think most of y’all are just tech illiterate. I’ve had no issues all weekend.

I want to support someone small who actually cares about college baseball to come in and compete with espn.
Yep. I shaved with a shitty razor for two years until Jeremy’s Razors got a good product. I did this to screw woke Gillette. I can suffer a little so D1 can start making inroads against super-woke ESPN.

I’m not a poor and didn’t buy the broadcast based on prior year tRant comments. Also, when I tuned in to Eagle98.1 or LSUSports.net to listen, I enjoyed the hell out of the games. But, I’m 72 and, as a young River Parish sports fan, we often had only the radio to catch baseball and football games. Listening to the game with descriptions of the action is great when the broadcasts do a fine job of describing what they see. Still, good memories regardless of the lack of video for me.

Yes but that was pre Watch ESPN.
If D1 didn’t pick up these games I guarantee you they would be on the ESPN app.

They weren’t before. They were on FloSports. FloSports even dropped them. There is no chance they would be on ESPN.

This tournament existed for several years before D1 got involved.

You do realize that he will go back to the service provider and recoup his money from them.
