Everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong in that game plus a handful of blown calls but it wasn’t two tights and the toss dive all game as Miles had been famous for.

They just got a little too conservative at times in this game. Our defense was unreal. Po Pelini is going to turn them loose like he did in 2005-07.

You could tell Muschamp knew he was full of shite when he said that. That’s what you would expect from a D coordinator. They love it when the refs let the boys play but that was awful.

The problem with that call was the tip came 30 yards downfield at the same point of the interference but after the interference started.

This wasn’t a ball tipped at the line of scrimmage, rendering interference downfield irrelevant.

exactly, there was a tip

but it was seconds AFTER the interference began

True. But OTOH, the refs negated every big pass play.

I’ve said this before. That final PI play was not even close to the worst officiating call that day. There were numerous others much more egregious that all went against LSU.

He has to know he sucks as a head coach. He’s at SC a d talking about another school’s football program. I guess he can’t talk about his team because they suck. I can’t believe Ray Tanner didn’t fire him after last year

That was our best offensive drive of the game. We would’ve scored.

Bunch I for 3-1/2 quarters. So even when we did pass we did not have our best receivers in the game until the fourth quarter.

This is why Will Muschamp is not a successful HC....the guy is dumber than a dry turd.

Hester caught the ball and ran about four steps before fumbling out of bounds. Only in Auburn on that day would that ever be ruled an incompletion.

It is the only time in 50 years of watching football that I have ever seen or heard of such a call being made the way that was in this game.

It was one of, I think, half a dozen horrendous calls in that game, that all seemed to go Auburn's way.

1. Hester's clear fumble that was ruled an incomplete pass.
2. The mugging of Lafell in the end zone just before the half in clear view of an official not even 20 feet away.
3. Phantom holding call that negated a long pass downfield. That call went against our Canadian lineman who had a broken hand and had it completely wrapped up. Replays showed all he could do was extend his arm to try to slow the Auburn D-lineman down. Not even close to holding.
4. The waved off flag for interference.

Those are the four I vividly recall. I know there were at least two others, but I'm drawing a blank.

One may have been an Auburn fumble that the refs decided wasn't a fumble because they think one of them had blown a whistle or something. I may be confusing that with an Arkansas game.

That was a one wrong step loss. The AU interception that ended the game occurred because the WR started off on the wrong foot. It was a precision pass pattern and the LSU WR started on the wrong foot and was one step too far or one step too long in the medium crossing pattern. I forget which.

Some of these people are so blinded by their hate for Les that they say ridiculous things. Les's offenses were just fine until 2011 and beyond.

This is the most asinine statement I have ever read. 08,09,10 offense were just fine? They were atrocious. The offense we fielded this year made me dislike Miles even more. If we had this years scheme during those seasons, we could've at least been contenders. We had no shot with those ridiculous offenses.

If we had RP, the offense would’ve been fine in 2008. After 2008 is when we got conservative.

we lost 7-3. Stop whining about refs in a game 14 years ago when we could only score a field goal.

Will Muschamp is so overrated. For some reason certain coaches seem to get a pass despite having very little success on the field. He is one of them.
