If Mett has a strong year and we actually make a return to the BCCNCG, and even more if we win it, Mett will be eligible for the draft next year.

Rivers, Randall and Liggins will be waiting in the wings instead of Kiel.

So, does this mean that we switch to a different style of offense for Mett in 2012, only to switch back in 2013 yet again?

Yeah, i know, Mett doing well enough to leave is a big IF, but it is not out of the question.

This is the reason I was most dissapointed in losing Kiel. It meant we might have a consistent offensive personality for several years in a row instead of a herky-jerky back-and-forth change of style from year to year...

He has the potential, but I think it depends on how strong the QB class looks. Barkley, Jones, Wilson, and Murray will likely be the headliners (although Wilson and Murray could stay). I'm sure I'm leaving some prospects out. It would be tough to keep him around if he grades out mid-2nd or above.

This is exactly what i thought when Kiel committed. And even though Kiel isnt coming here, I still could see it happening. When your a JUCO transfer nobody has ANY film on you except from JUCO. When Cam Newton started for Auburn he took the entire country by storm because nobody had seen him on a national level. Opposing DC's didnt have a blueprint on how to stop him and that gives every team fits. Im not saying the Berger is like Cam Newton because we all know they are diff type of QBs, but not having a film on Mett benefits his draft stock more than we know because he can take teams by surprise and really tear teams up

But, it all will depend on play calling.

If Mett is one and done, this means we won the NC....in that case, I hope he's one and done

Um, hate to say it, but Liggins ran the option ALOT in the video I've seen. I guess we felt like with the Gumps having 260lb LB's we needed a 290lb QB to run the option.

I think Mett stays, unless he has an RGIII type year, which we don't need to be successful.

I think we will get Mett for 2 years.

QBs that are coming out next year with high draftablility:

1) Matt Barkley
2) Tyler Wilson
3) Aaron Murray (potentially)
4) Landry Jones
5) Geno Smith

All 5 of these could have good years, would all translate well in the NFL and could potentially be picked ahead of him.

We will see what happens in the 2012 season.

Not reading this thread. The reason potential wide receivers aren't commiting is that they think Miles will not change is offensive philosophy. Missouri is now in our conference---"Show Me".

If he plays well enough to garner a first round grade and leave early then awesome, that would likely mean another crystal ball in the trophy case.
