After the trial.

Not only is the NCAA interested in the FBI investigative files so should EVERY party connected to the FBI investigation and that includes the LSU admin and Will Wade (and every college and person in the investigative files).

It's extremely important to know what they (NCAA) knows.

You’re assuming the NCAA will have access to the tapes/files

Yeah, I imagine we could obtain the files through the same means as the NCAA.

There have been instances where it was all sealed and the NCAA did not have access, correct?

I hope you are right. This is extremely important knowledge as a deponent.

The NCAA doesn't have access to FBI files. They only know what's been reported in the press or leaked to them, likely by Dawkins' attorney.

The NCAA is not a government body nor does it have subpoena power. And the NCAA has already been sanctioned for interfering with a legal proceeding to get one side to ask helpful questions on their behalf in the Miami case.

Why would the NCAA and/or LSU have access to the FBI's files?

They'll have to conduct their own investigations.

The latest USC football probation was a partial result of an Agent's criminal trial and his dealings with Reggie Bush and family. Trial testimony and evidence was used by the NCAA against USC; so, NCAA getting evidence from a Court is not out of the question.

The evidence and testimony from the Shapiro trial was used by the NCAA against the University of Miami.

That is the $9MM question. As of now, I don't see a clear path for the NCAA to get its hands on recorded conversations between defendants and third-parties that are not on trial, when that evidence was not admissible at trial.

So at that point, the NCAA only has the articles from the news. Surely that can’t be enough to punish him?
