No, quietly accepting them and taking it up the rear as has become the norm for LSU is the thing to do......that way it keeps happening

I just did, above. Bitching about it publicly and specifically to our LSU SEC reps will do a lot. Keep the pressure up. Let the SEC scheduling committee know that they are being scrutinized.

Some people on here amaze me that they understand so little about how the world works. Communication is everything. Everything is a negotiation. Lobbying works.

Its like some of you just got bumped off the turnip truck or something.

Ah, so you think if a bunch of dumbass mouth breathing fans such as yourself bitch and complain "publicly" about the scheduling, that the SEC office would change the way they schedule?

Maybe you could like start a committee or something and walk up to the steps of the SEC office.

Do other schools complain about bama's schedule?

It isn't about Alabama's schedule, even though the schedules have benefitted them most recently.

College football has 120+ teams vying for a championship. They play 12 game schedules. It's impossible to make every team's schedule fair and balanced in order to determine a champion.

The SEC has won 7 championships and counting in a row. I would think the least the conference could do is make certain that its 14 teams have a balanced schedule.

All the original poster is asking, correct me if I'm wrong, is that these concerns be addressed significantly to result in favorable changes. I've voiced these concerns personally to LSU administration that I know. And the response is simple and predictable, it's a business.

All decisions made in regards to the SEC must first meet the financial criteria. It is unfortunate that the Alabama brand with Saban carries more marketability than LSU, but it is a fact. This does play a part.

Bottom line is profitability for the SEC, is profitability for LSU, and there's more profit in keeping things the way they are.

Don't look for anything to change at the meetings.

I'd rather boycott SEC away games and bitch about the situation, hoping the talking heads in the national media might affect change. You can accept your fate, if you must.

This is coming from someone who comes across as if their parents beat them and kept them in a closet for punishment when they were young.

Your attitude will definitely get the results you want. Well, actually, the result others want for you.

What results is it that I want? I'm not crying about our schedule and/or delusional enough to think there is anything that I, as a fan, can do to change it.

before Saban got at Bama all of this shite didn't even exist.

Or maybe it's the fact that Alabama wasn't really a contender in the SEC West from 2001-2006 (yes I remember 2005). The collosal UNFAIRNESS didn't exist in the minds of LSU fans during that time because LSU wasn't really competing with Bama for the west title like they are now. You are aware that UT and Bama did play each other every year during that time just like they do now? What changed? Bama reemerged as a national power, that's what.

All this boo-hooing stems from the fact that UT's fall has coincided with Bama's revival. If UT was Fla. equal (or at least close to it) like they were for most of the 90's and early 2000's, then none of the whining would be taking place.

I have friends who are fans/alums of just about every single SEC school and they all think of LSU as the whiniest fanbase in the SEC. That's not just a coincidence. (Miles is terrible, Bama's schedule is unfair, the SEC won't let us play home night games, ESPN hates us, CBS hates us, "insert name of national writer" hates us, and on, and on, and on....). I for one as a season ticket holder am glad that LSU plays the Florida's, South Carolina's, Georgia's of the world instead of Vandy, UK, Mizzou. I'd rather pay $1,200 plus to watch good match-up as opposed to games against the bottom-feeders of the conference.

We have nearly the same amount of posts on this site, except I've been a member since '04 and you '12. I would say you are somewhat invested in following LSU sports.

I would also guess you are not financially invested as much as I am, because if you were, you wouldn't be so cavalier about it.

You don't think there is cause for change, or that your thoughts on the subject matter any at all. I won't try to change your mind. Go with the flow. I need more employees like you.

If other schools get to bitch and moan about tradition and keeping it then LSU should demand all night SEC(home) games.
