This is probably the biggest game for LA Tech this year. When these small Louisiana schools play LSU they often times give it their best shot and throw their ace. Wonder if LA Tech will do the same tonight?

I don't see why they wouldn't. They are basically a regional lock. Adding an improbable win to their resume would surely help their case of possibly hosting again

At this point in the year it is, but the biggest game they'll play all year? No. And to say so makes you sound dumb.

This hasn't really been a thing for roughly 2 decades. Winning a weekend series is more important than winning a midweek game. And upsetting your weekend rotation for a midweek game could have longer lasting negative effects than a win would positive ones.

Beating LSU would not be an "improbable win."
This is a talented, experienced Tech team, playing at home at the very beginning of the season.
Tech could win this game.

How does this make me sound dumb? They literally have the number 2 team in the country going to fricking RUSTON. LSU will probably also be the only ranked team they play this year unless ULL or some other no name team makes a run. But yea, I'm dumb

Alot of them are unbearable. Even hester, who is usually pretty decent talking baseball, had some weird takes. He mentioned that, whoever starts this game for lsu, may not he close to getting a start on the weekend for us. Like…what?

exactly .... don't screw up your weekend rotation. Tech will likely pitch their young studs 1-2 innings each, to gain valuable pitching experience that will pay-off in conference and tournament time.

No way their top guy didn’t throw opening day.
So they gonna throw him again on short rest for a midweek game?

We aren’t their World Series. They can get there on their own.

LSU gonna put up 15 runs tonight. Can Tech get to 16?

Because it's game 4 of 56 and doesn't do anything to clinch a conference title and any effect it has on postseason seeding will be superseded by them coming to Alex Box later in the year.

And they're going to play in the post season and every one of those games will be more important than this one.

They pitcher all 3 of their weekend starters on the weekend.

I doubt they pitch their ace on short rest with Tulane coming in this weekend.

It will probably be Cade Gibson, who through a gem verse Ole Miss last year, and looked very good last weekend.

I get that its a midweek game but you have the 2nd ranked team coming to your brand new facility. Tickets cost $150 for a midweek game. This is a HUGE game for LA Tech. The best teams LA Tech is gonna play this year is their midweek games against LSU, Dallas Baptist, and ULL which they'll need to capitalize on these type of games starting tonight

That's fine and all, but that's fan shite, not coach shite.

LA Tech's Friday night pitcher also only pitched 5 innings last weekend. That's almost a weeks worth of rest.
