Lane has repeatedly stated that he evaluates character and attitude. We’ll see I guess.
The Damien Shanklin situation should have you questioning this a bit, not to stir the pot, but how that guy is still on the team after admitting to rape effectively is well beyond my comprehension.

It’d be great to have Taylor next year don’t get me wrong. But I genuinely hope, for the good of the sport, that he stays in Starkville.

Our Dline has the potential to be insane next year. He’s the real deal on the field but I don’t think he’s a need. Go find another proven elite pass rusher somewhere and develop what we have on the staff

First I heard of this about Shanklin who is your source? I heard he needed to

I suspect he did all this to intentionally get kicked off the team. many of these guys just want to get to the NFL and only do the minimum. Stewart is a big time talent and he has written his ticket. I think he just wants to chill the rest of this season.

LSU rehab is the best.

They'll sell ever cowbell in Starkville to keep him there. I don't think he will leave.
Doubt they really have to. He's a State legacy. If anything, they'll raise more NIL and bolster the team.
Dont get it twisted, he has some talented pieces around him this year. Fluff Bothwell is a dude at RB and has some talent on the outside (Evans & Mcgeee)
TBD on the defense tho. Smoot got any kids?

As nice as it would be to have Taylor, I really hope he stays put.

Lane tends to stay away from guys with character issues.

Stewart might be choosing between getting drafted far later than he should because of character issues (the 4 year contract that goes with it) or spending one year more in college (on a cheaper NIL deal) in order to shore up the character concerns and get a 1st round contract after that.
It’s not crazy at all to think he could end up at LSU next year. We would get him cheaper than normal and he would be highly incentivized to behave and play well. It’s nearly zero risk for us.

Kamario Tayler was ranked #2 SEC QB behind Chambliss.
Leavitt down at 9 with Mamming at 10.

We don’t want anything to do with that guy. He is a head case hearing some of the stories out of Columbia. Big no thanks. All the talent but not worth the headache.

Thats the long version, there is push on social media to get this more out there though now:

Just hope this doesnt blow up on our face, but he admitted to it, and the admin changed around the punishment from a year suspension to basically some long term probation so he could play football again.
This is one that could get ugly, they have tried sweeping this under the rug as much as they possibly can (and so far have done a good job).
Obviously, no one going over to someone's place at 4 AM has anything in mind but hooking up, and certainly she maybe had that intention, but she is claiming she was raped, and he admitted to having relations with her but went to the authorities first worried she might say something else (a better look for him, but still a bit interesting nonetheless).

I have seen absolutely nothing that indicates that this is true.
In fact the only proof we have is the exact opposite.
Do you think he would be cleared by a title 9 hearing by “admitting to rape?”
