And I don't want to take a chance of getting hurt in my last college game. I have NO problem with him not playing. I DO have a problem with him not giving the real reason he isn't playing...and it is NOT "coaching all the young guys up."

Yes... Weston and Adams are the future and should be ready to step in/up. If not, then we will know who to target in the spring portal. Win Win

Jayden not playing Reliaquest Bowl was great for Nussmeier.

This is a win-win for all parties. Next man up for LSU gets extra practice reps and game experience to prepare for 2025.

They don't get "paid to play" at all. As in, they are under no contractual obligation whatsoever to the NIL payor to play in any game, let alone a bowl game.

He's decided the risk of serious injury which could affect his potential pro career (however small) outweighs the reward of potentially winning the Texas Bowl. SELFISHLY, I would like to see him play because doing so gives my favorite team a better chance of winning the game. But who am I to tell Campbell, or any other player, what decisions they should make for their own self interests?

At this point, I'd be surprised if any player declaring for the draft ever plays another bowl game that isn't in the playoff.

The next step is when a 12 seed that has 3 losses and pretty much knows they can't win will have draftees opt out. You know it's going to happen

Not a chance with revenue sharing on the way. The SEC & member institutions are gonna need all the revenue they can get moving forward.

It is the Walmart fans... They didn't go to LSU... They just went to Walmart (for a t-shirt).

As many times as you say this, you will never get those types to understand your point. It's becoming a complete waste of time honestly.

What do we get with 8-4?

I've never saw what I guess everyone else see's here but hopefully he has a long and prosperous NFL career.

Let the young guys play. Winning or losing this game has no bearing on the program going forward.

Won't happen. NFL front offices would hate that move.
