I see it both ways. I get what some of you are saying in reference to the honesty part. Coach O does not hold back when it comes to the media which was welcoming after what we had with Miles. That's fine. But I also see the other side of it. It's fine to be open and to "tell it like it is" but sometimes you don't have to say everything. Coach O has said many times in the past that he blocks out the noise on Twitter and elsewhere. That's obviously not true based on several interviews he's had where he makes certain comments pertaining to the "outside noise" he claims to block.

And then there are other extra comments added to responses that weren't warranted like the swipe at Aranda last year saying "This defense was better than the one in 2019" when obviously that was bullshite. No one asked him about that. He gave that response unprompted just like this one. Being tactful isn't his strong suit obviously but there's nothing wrong with being open about things either. I like the honesty but nothing wrong with being tactful in your responses.

You call that UNPROFESSIONAL!

Orgeron is a loose cannon.

That’s why ESPN, SECN and universal talking-heads laugh when GumbO’s in any conversation.

Orgeron’s résumé will bite him in the du azz, I contend!

You can't have it both ways. Les Miles was a bumbling idiot who said nothing and Orgeron has a mouth that stays in gear. I prefer the latter.

There are more than two ways. Nick Saban and Paul Mainieri are both coaches who say a lot of real information.

Of course he does, that doesn't mean O needs to publicly bring it up again a couple months later. Would you want your employer telling people you were the 4th choice weeks after the hiring was made even if it was public knowledge?

There's a better way to phrase what he was trying to say.

Feel free to defend the guy that admitted he didn't even interview people last year.

I didn’t watch the whole thing, so I don’t know if it was the answer to a question or just unsolicited.

But either way, there is a better way to frame that statement.

But he’s gone down this road already with this shite. On a macro level, you are LSU. You don’t want to be perceived to come in 4th for anything related to attracting coaches or players. None of this shite should have been leaked & still being talked about.

And no I don’t think Jones is insulted. But it is just a negative vibe that doesn’t need to be there. That is your guy; you talk him up like he is Bill belechik. frick you blew Peleni up & down the block

People cry and whine when they don't get any information from the coaches

Honesty is great when it has value. This was just pointless

You're right, it probably could have been phrased differently. But I guess I just understood what he was implying.

For the record, I'm not a fan of CEO nor was I a fan of LSU hiring him. However, I do like the fact that he says what's on his mind and doesn't care about being politically correct.

What information was provided here and how was it relevant to the question, and how was it relevant to where the program is today in general?

He also said he did not interview some of the coaches on last year's staff. With what happened last year, that would be something to fire him over. What a stupid plan he had. Too busy chasing skirts.

On a ten game, all SEC schedule during a season that no one counts. You think we haven't had 5-loss seasons in the last 20 years?

Are you implying that Miss State was good?
Or Missouri?
Or it’s okay that we had a series record blowout loss to a team that fired their coach?
I’ll admit it was a tough break loss to Bama. I thought we had em until the very end.

I'm implying we missed out on cupcakes like nicholls that would have given us a winning season easily. Why don't see look at how often we won or loss 5 SEC games?

The point is that comparing last season to others as if they are apples to apples is disingenuous. There was nothing similar to any other season in any way.

No just honest. This is meant for motivation purposes. I can dig it.
