To sum up:

He didn't totally shite the bed like he did all year in 2008.

If Lee starts and gets to play we have the best chance to win and if JJ starts we have the best chance to lose!

I liked the vibe he brought to the offense. The offense was exciting to watch again. I really liked when he threw his hands up to pump up the crowd during that time out on the final drive of the game.

JL did look a lot better on saturday, but you better believe the Florida D line is gonna try to kill him. I just hope we can absorb what they dish out and play our game.

Why we'll win in the Swamp with J Lee

Think this could be like the '04 game where JR started, threw 2 INTs, got hurt, & Marcus Randall (with support from the OL & J. Addai) drove the Tigahs to a 4th quarter comeback.

I believe JJ will start Saturday, but JL will play significant snaps & if he is on, could make the difference in the 4th quarter.

Despite the final score, the '08 game was closer for a longer time than people think.

I am very glad you have confidence in "Pick 6" Lee, but I will always have fear every time he drops back to pass that he will forget what color jersey he is wearing.

We have to be able to throw the ball to beat opponents like Florida and JJ can't do that plain and simple!

Some good points from Lee the last time we were in the swamp.

quote:

Lee then guided his team 60 yards in six plays to the elusive Gators endzone in only 45 seconds. A 24-yard strike to wide receiver Terrance Toliver moved LSU into Florida territory for the second time in the half. After a 12-yard catch by Brandon LaFell and an eight-yard catch by Dickson, LSU brought out its bag of tricks. Lee made a quick throw to LaFell, who spun and flipped the ball to a streaking Trindon Holliday for a 15-yard gain to the Florida 6. With 10 seconds left, Lee found Chris Mitchell in the right corner of the endzone for an important score.

quote:

Despite the 41-14 deficit, LSU continued to fight. LSU defensive end Rahim Alem sacked Tebow and jarred the ball loose. Defensive end Tyson Jackson picked up the ball and returned 18 yards to the Florida 31.

Are you fricking serious????? What does this shite have to do with anything???

Yes, I'm serious.

You don't think his body language is indicative of his level of comfort? You don't think that affects his performance?

Do yall really think Lee is going to start Saturday? I'm going to retire on the bets I'm gonna win when Jefferson takes the field for LSU's first possession. Just my opinion and we won't know for sure 'till Saturday night, but I will be very, very surprised if Lee starts. Too many people here in BTR and in the national media touting Lee to start for this hard-headed coach to give in to the pressure.

Remember the int JJ threw saturday? Our receiver was open but he put too much air under the ball and Jantzen was able to close on it. I think had Lee thrown that pass, it's completed.

Lee doesn't have to start Sat. Just get significant playing time to make a difference when it matters.

"Pick 6" Lee

TWO years ago. If you haven't let this go, then you never will.

I don't know what alot of you guys were watching Saturday, but when Lee was in the game the offense took on a whole new personality.

give the pick six shite up. It's done with.

This is wrong. I noticed him do this at least once. But I agree he looks more composed this year.

he is good for at least one pick a game.

Most quarterbacks throw interceptions. It's part of the game. If he only throws 1 and it doesn't go back for a touchdown I like our chances.

lets stop talking about all the picks lee threw in 2008 and start talking about the all picks that jefferson is throwing now. 2 years ago he was awful we understand. right now he is a much better quarterback then the dipshit that starts

Lee starts they blitz him to death an he folds because our coaches will not be able to make the correct adjustments and he will get rattled.

Jefferson starts we lose because he can't throw.

Either way we lose.

I would be preparing for a lot of blitzes this weekend. UF is going to try to get Lee flustered. They have very good DB's and are going to try to force Lee to make bad decisions. LSU needs to practice blitz pick ups and the screen pass & quick slant to beat it.

It's painful watching Jarrett Lee throw a screen pass.

This really is alot like that season with different use of the two guys. Nicky felt like he had to play JR to win a couple games early but the fans were back and forth on who should play and Nicky was firmly behind Randall ala Les and JJ. Nick was having to defend Randall in the media.
