Why was Dameyune Craig fired?

Not sure ever got the precise reason. He was let go immediately after January signing day 2017. Mishandling of a recruit? Failure to land a recruit?

He was actually interim recruiting coordinator. He was lazy as frick and showed up somewhere wearing Auburn gear after EO jumped his arse...so the story goes.

Cam Akers, Devonta Smith, and Marvin Wilson were all told by Craig that coming to LSU would be a mistake and that he was bailing as soon as he could.

He wanted the OC job after Miles was fired and when he didn’t get it, he got pissed and started directing recruits away from LSU and toward FSU where he had a job lined up

He left FSU because Fisher brought in Randy Sanders to essentially be OC(thought Fisher calls plays). Remember, Craig and Fisher go all the way back to the 90’s at Auburn.
He goes back home to Auburn, and gets passed over for OC again in favor of Rhett Lashlee. After that, he rage quit and came to LSU.
He’s a garbage coach
