He is a good recruiter and top D line coach. That being said, I don’t think he should ever be a HC again. He and Lane are tight and if Lane trusts him then that’s good enough for me. The players will run through a wall for those two guys.

This is how I feel as well

Despite everything, O is a Louisiana legend. It would be hugely helpful for recruiting.

He is a good DL coach and when it comes to recruiting, he is Sabans equal

I'm not saying I'm all for O returning, but we did just drop 7 years 91mil on a guy that chases co-eds, can't stay off social media and often reflects the maturity of a teenage girl.

Kiffin turned his life around who’s to say O hasn’t?

Maybe he has, but he’s only showed interest to coach again after a judgement was ruled that he must split his Buyout from LSU with his ex wife. That was ruled back in June..,suddenly he wants to coach again

So you don’t want anyone on staff that has an iffy track record and questionable morals? Oof, you might want to take a break from LSU football for the next 7 years then..

Ah frick it. No, we don't want the literal worst coach in Ole Miss history that get super fricking lucky here back on our staff. He is an objectively bad coach, and a proven snake. No thank you.

Having the leader of the greatest team in CFB history as your position coach seems like it won’t hurt

We bringing back Burrow or Aranda or E/Brady? Because those were the actual leaders of that team.

Everything your blaming on O was Woodwards fault. He was the unresponsible party making these hires and bad deals. He was throwing other peoples money around like it was his own.

You think he’s a bad defensive line coach? Why?

List all of the HCs that won NCs without talented players and good staff.

You're missing the point entirely, but that's not surprising. O is a fraud as a HC. He has absolutely no clue how 2019 happened which is why when all of the actual key pieces left, he reverted back to worst Ole Miss coach levels of "success"

LSU was so ruined when BK took the team to the SECCG the very next year with the talent O left behind

He didn’t leave JD behind for Kelly. Anyway, what you are essentially saying is that Kelly was the better coach who took O’s players and went to an SEC championship game

He was the leader. You can deny it all you want, but it’s true

O only wants to return to work b/c his payments have come to an end

Maybe but his payments were enough he doesn’t need money. I see nothing wrong if Lane wants him here because they have worked together so many places. I wouldn’t give him a high role but if he will come in for cheap and be a recruiter or something I see nothing wrong with it. I would feel different if he and Lane hadn’t worked together at almost every stop along Lane’s career.

Right, which is why his record without those key pieces was so fricking good and he had no problems getting another job after we shitcanned him... oh wait

I’m not arguing that he’s a good head coach. But he was the head coach and put together the greatest team of all time.

You know it. I know it.

Did he really though, or was that actually done by others?

I know he was the head coach. I also know he has no fricking clue how it happened. I know it, you know it, everyone on teh planet knows it. Which is why no one wants him to be a head coach.
