Why our LSU Tigers wouldn't get an invite with an Atlanta loss...

Based on the behavior of the CFP committee are you confident they give our one-loss Tigers the fourth seed... LSU is arguably the most dangerous team in the four team tournament. Seems unfair to make the top seed play a fourth seed LSU.

I think we handle georgia comfortably but georgia's player and coaching talent match up well AND it's a single game winner take all.

A half-dozen years ago I'm convinced our LSU baseball team didn't get the 64-team tournament invite because the powers that be thought it would be ridiculous and unfair for a fourth seeded baseball LSU show up and ruin the party for anyone of a number of top-seeded college baseball teams.

We essentially have a playoff game. When and we are in.

All we have to do is win from here on out. Nothing else matters.

It won’t be a comfortable 20 hours if we don’t win the game on Saturday.

You are only as good as your last game (see Alabama) and the narrative will shift to Oklahoma holding the same 12-1 record, but champion of their conference and 2 wins over Baylor (who will fall 1 spot with a loss). They will say LSU had their playoff game vs UGA and lost.

I am pulling for Oregon and Baylor this weekend.

Imagine being Louisville, UC Irvine, TCU etc. and having LSU show up in the Regionals as the #4 seed lol. That would suck.

But your original point is wrong. LSU is a playoff lock.

I agree. A Georgia loss puts us out.

They won’t make Ohio State play us in the semi.

Up until this past Tuesday night, I would've agreed with you. However, after seeing the lengths the committee will go to ensure the outcome they desire, I have absolutely zero faith that they would not drop us to the 5th spot.

If LSU loses to UGA, it'll be very close. LSU is 100% in with a win (obviously) or a close loss. If UGA somehow (nobody thinks this will happen) wins by 17 then it might be a difference story.

I don't have anything against LSU, but seeing how LSU vs. Ohio State is my dream matchup in the playoffs, I am rooting for Georgia. I don't think LSU can beat Clemson if it is Clemson vs. LSU #2 vs. #3.

If we lose, our fate will be in the committee's hands.

At that point -
1.) Ohio State - 13-0
2.) Clemson - 13-0
3.) Georgia - 12-1

Our resume and season would be compared to
Utah 12-1
Baylor/Oklahoma winner 12-1

Unless Oregon beats Utah.... then that 4th spot would come down to us and the Big12 Champ.

Hopefully our team believes this but unless UGA murders us LSU is in the playoff

Yeah, there is no way LSU is out with a loss. Compare LSU to Utah, LSU to Oklahoma, or LSU to Baylor and it isn't close. LSU would have to lose big to Georgia to have a chance at being left out and that may not be enough.

Sorry, that was an ignorant way to put that on an LSU board.

I don't believe LSU will beat Clemson. Obviously LSU can beat anyone.

RELAX, LSU is in if they play at all Saturday.

Im not ready to claim the committee is biased against LSU getting in. That doesnt make any sense.

They may be biased in keeping OSU #1 and trying to get a OSU Clemson/LSU game thats highly possible. We will know more after this weekend. If LSU wins anyhow anyway they should move back to #1.

If they move LSu back to #1 all of this was for zero.

To stir the pot with moving OSU ahead of LSU 2 weeks ago has certainly worked. All the pundits are chiming in. Dollars!

LSU will be in the playoffs no matter what happens Saturday.

Unless by some miracle UGA beats us by 30+

It's painfully obvious that the committee wants to protect Ohio State from Clemson. They must not believe that y'all will beat them. I'll laugh my arse off though if y'all get Jalen Hurts and OU instead of Utah, although I'm sure that the committee will set y'all up with the easiest possible opponent.

Virtually certain we will be left out if we lose to UGA, especially if Utah wins.
