Joe Burrow became Joe Burreaux, and Joe looks like he could be the poster boy for WASP Nation. 
It's just something LSU does. I'm from North Louisiana, and the only thing that bothers me about this is that it gives people who are not familiar with Louisians the wrong idea. The strong majority of Louisiana citizens are not Cajun.
All in all, not a big deal, though.

A lot to unpack. Trying to understand the offense. Is it “Cajun” (not from Louisiana), or “Bambino” (not Italian?), or both? Bambino is obviously a reference to Babe Ruth (not Italian). I think it’s probably just a playful nickname for a big kid that currently plays baseball in Louisiana. It’s probably not worth all the fuss. Geaux Tigers!

Wasn’t after 1 game. I’ve heard him called the Creole Bambino, not Cajun Bambino, on multiple preseason interview shows. Sounds like it started with his teammates, but they also call him Big Poppa.
