Why is the NCAA launching a PR attempt to try and make LSU look guilty to the public??

Dont normal enforcement agencies just investigate, charge, and sentence??
Why are they trying to create a narrative...
Seems to me that they are just trying to get LSU to openly talk...

In short, they are pissed because LSU has run out the clock on them.

The NCAA doesn’t have any evidence. They’re assuming Woody will fold to his father in laws minions by trying to fabricate issues with football. NCAA doesn’t want to play this game because it would implicate a lot of blue blood schools and their HOF coaches.

NCAA really has nothing at all. They even investigated the Smart "offer" thoroughly and found nothing.
This is PR at it's epitome. Show face and leak innuendo to media outlets looking for viewership.
The pattern is crystal clear.
Let's throw in some LSU FB stuff to feed it too. Work a PR battle so it's a stigma, but never gave any facts at all.
I can't believe the people that eat this up. Shame on them.

I think the answer to this question is obvious, if they did actually try to get yahoo/si/espn to report on it.......because they dont have hard evidence. When you lack that, gotta try to win public opinion. Good analogy someone posted the other day. Its like playing poker with someone who is telling you how great their hand is. They allege that its a great hand like a straight to bluff you out, but really its just pocket twos, and you just keep calling the bluffs

That’s a great analogy Josh. That’s all this has been from the beginning...assumptions, smear campaign, bullying, and a witch hunt with absolutely nothing in the way of actual proof.
Sadly, many are all too eager to join the lynch mob and scream from the rooftops.....including some posters proclaiming to be LSU fans.
It’s disappointing to see the hatred and bias that the media perpetuates every day is even spilling into sports and it’s even more disappointing to see the ignorant masses follow it with pitchforks.
I’d like to ask Vitale, Forde, etc just one question....why is it that in this case, we can’t “let the facts play out” before we jump to conclusions?
I’d ask the same to the band of anti Wade posters.
Why do other cases where we now know for a fact that money changed hands, homes were paid for, etc. get pushed to the side while we continue to assume the worst of a coach who, still to this day, cannot be proven guilty of any wrongdoing?
We’ve heard for over a year, wait till they play the tapes, wait til the trial, then it wait til HBO.....and still nothing but assumptions and innuendo.
When does it stop? Where does it stop? When is the media guilty of slander or held to some standard of accountability?

They thought Wade would fold. He didn’t. They can’t do an investigation because college basketball would be done. What is troubling is now they are Threatening Lsu football. Makes me think that NCAA thinks old woody may not be as bad arse like some think. They think he will fold and throw Wade under the bus. We shall see what old Woody is made of.

It almost like they are offering a deal to LSU. Give us Wade. He is the only one we really want. Then we can charge him and you can fire him and not pay him. Then we will go lite on you.

They don’t have anything to charge us but know we committed violations so they are having espn smear shite on a wall
