Injuries.

Coleman and Taylor would help this team significantly.

Injuries are part of game and an injured player is a non player.

Look at 2019 football. Team was great but there were no major injuries to starters.

We actually did have 3 until Grant Taylor got hurt. Taylor was gonna be #2 and Floyd and Hurd were supposed to battle it out for #3. The injury to Taylor really stings. I still have faith in Hurd. He has big time stuff. It’s just hard to have command when you take a year off.

Elite pitching is hard. The 100th ranked relief pitching contract in MLB is 2 million dollars. They ain’t easy to come by.

Ask Paul this question. Jay brought in some elite pitchers, but they are young still. Wait another year or two and I think you continue to see improvement across the Saturday and Sunday roles.

Cause everyone else wants four legitimate starters.

Glad to help.

Because…Greg Maddox, John Smoltz, and Tom Glavine are past their prime.

Tennessee might be the only team with a legit 3 star studded weekend rotation. Jesus.

Considering what they had last year I’m not worried
And I still think Hurd can do it
Right now it’s confidence

Every team, college or pro struggles with a complete pitching rotation....quite normal.

You do realize we have 2 key guys that are injured, right?

Im pretty sure at full health, one of them would be holding it down .

Or are you just one of the casual observers that doesnt really follow the team that likes to point out problems that you dont really know about? Because we have a LOT of those guys here.

Hurd probably is most probably to mid relief after today

Maybe if you set him up. You don’t want him coming into a jam with his problems pitching from the stretch.

Based on the preseason hype, I thought we had at least a dozen weekend starters.

I have a different opinion on this.

You don't need 3 elite starters but you need a Sunday guy who won't go out there and get kicked in the nuts for 6 runs in the first 2 innings.

LSU's 3rd starter isn't even serviceable. You don't even need elite pitching on Sunday. Just somebody who will go 5, give up less than 5 or 6 and give you a chance to win.

We don't even have that right now.
