Genuine question, if I would’ve told you Skenes would go 7 innings, allow 2 hits, 1 run, and have 12 K’s would you have said “no way we lose with that performance”

Why is everyone freaking out? Are you familiar with the rant? Anything short of no hitters is unacceptable. Anything short of CWS championships is unacceptable.

Not freaking out, but recognizing today and last Sunday we struggle vs quality LHP, and we have some real BP issues that need to improve or we won't reach out goals this season. Gotta flush it and put it all together on Saturday for 2 games. Don't let them come into our house and get a series win.

Not freaking out but,
My concern lies in the fact LSU has has two late inning close games in a row and the coach, the new pitching coach guru, decided that our best reliever for LSU to win two close games was to trot Little out there. That means our coaches believe he was the best we had to shut down A&M and Arky. He was pathetic on both occasions. That tells me our bullpen is really, really bad.
No team is good enough to win titles without a strong bullpen. LSU apparently has nothing and that is on our new pitching coach imo. I thought he would be the key to a strong resurgence in LSU baseball, but so far , I am no longer encouraged.

Because they’re baseball ignorant and they don’t know how the sport works. Ole Miss was the last team in last year and won it all, it’s about getting hot at the right time. These early challenges are preparing LSU for later in the year.

Arky sold their soul to win today. They blew their best two lefties and they don’t have lefty depth on the mound due to injuries. We can take both games tomorrow

We should be able to get to their starter McEntire depending on which game he’s pitching. He’s a righty with an ERA of almost 4. Hurd and Floyd have to show up tomorrow. Not getting out of the 3rd or 4th inning is not an option.

This might be the most talented roster in the country, but they don’t have that grit/dog to fight when it counts. The pop outs/strike outs/clutch bullpen performances when you can change the game is bad. Reminds me of MT when it counts. He might be one of the best but have never seen him do it consistently when it counts. Might be why he is perfectly comfortable staying with the angels.
