Why is Dugas leading off?

Morgan has the ability to work the count and can get on base multiple ways. Dugas has far more power than Morgan and to me it would make sense to have Dugas batting 2nd so that some of his solo shots are 2 run homeruns rather than solo homeruns.

Dugas is probably getting alot of those homers due to leading off. Pitchers arent gonna throw their best pitches with no one on base. Also, dugas on base percentage is fantastic, he needs to keep leading off

What is a lead off supposed to do? Get on base a lot and see a lot of pitches. Dugas gets on base more than any other Tiger except Crews. Plus, he sees a ton of pitches. Dugas is leading off because he is the guy any coach in his right mind would lead off, unless he went with Crews.

Dugas' OB% is .486, 2nd to only Crews out of everyday guys. That and for a break in the right handed batters in the lineup.
