Guessing you just awoke from a year plus hibernation so let’s catch up. O was hired to build/improve (not re-build) on what was in place. The negotiated formula was pay CEO less in order to pay OC/DC more than usual to get TOP notch people in those positions given CEOs shortcomings on both sides of the ball. CEO strayed from the formula with the handling of Canada and led the organization to where it is with SE as OC. End of the the day, he is head coach and can make those choices as he sees fit, but he is 100% responsible for the outcome regardless of his individual salary.

Ehh the record improved actually, and he didn't get to finish out the other season. Which I think he would have lost just one more and won the bowl game, meaning another improvement in the overall record, going from 8-9-10 wins.

And had just hired Aranda, had the best 3 year stretch of recruiting in the history of the program.

Alleva admitted they didn't want Les to start reeling off wins against that shite schedule. Just think about that. Our AD was afraid our coach was going to win games so he fired him.

Joe is a piece of shite.

They fired Les because of offenses like this.... I don't think they are holding O to a higher standard, especially when he said they would change.

I don't think he is, but does it matter if O is doing a "better job" but we still cap out at 8-9 wins per season?

Firing Miles set the precedent that 8-9 wins per year is not sufficient at LSU. If Orgeron cannot get us to 10+ wins and competing for SEC titles again, the same standard applies: Bye, bye Orgeron.

Last I checked we have scored quite a bit on iour last two opponents.

2018: 32.0 PPG
2017: 27.2 PPG
2016: 28.3 PPG
2015: 32.8 PPG
2014: 27.6 PPG
2013: 35.8 PPG
2012: 29.2 PPG
2011: 35.7 PPG
2010: 29.7 PPG
2009: 24.8 PPG
2008: 30.9 PPG

Looks like he's falling right in line with LSU's speciality. Mediocre offensive production.

No way he actually said that, right?

I certainly believe that's why he fired Les but he couldn't have actually said that.

This is the first time I've ever seen the phrase "Well, 9 wins is a good as 11 wins with this schedule," as a defense against a coach's quality. So seeing as how O has apparently allowed fans to lower expectation via math itself, no, he is held to MUCH lower standards than Miles.

Because he is republican and the national media doesn't like republicans.

Coach O is arguably doing a better job than Miles would have.
Ok, make your case. Let's hear that argument.

What are you talking about? When did we start unranked and were happy just to beat Auburn? How many people would have been satisfied if Miles just got 10 wins? He did that virtually every season and got fired.

Arguably? Really? Miles brought us hardware. Some your argument is fallacious and asinine.

It's two games into the season moron.

Although after the second half last night I'm leaning more toward the Nega-O Side.
