No, are you? That's an honest question btw.

Well unlike you I have an understanding of time value of money and also understand how buyouts work.

MM is not getting his full buyout, someone will hire him and that will offset more so that’s a discount.

It’s also much different to have 15MM on hand and due today than to have it spread over 3-4 years.

If you weren’t a fry cook you might understand how these things work instead of letting some journalist make you believe our boosters are on the hook for all this money immediately.

Both BK and MM are being paid monthly so nothing is due up front and it’s over the life of the contract
Furthermore, you are assuming which makes an arse out of you but not me that donors are perfectly fine with paying out the buyout but just don't want to do it all upfront. How considerate of you

Oh well, it's not due up front it's like not owing it at all.

I bet you have maxed credit cards.

It's a monthly note. McMahon is getting paid monthly whether he coaches LSU next year or not. The difference is if he not the coach he's actually getting pay 20% LESS per month. No donor is going to pay the full amount of a 3 year note when it is a no interest note and has offsetting provisions still in play. That's why BK did not get a check for $54M.

The question for the donors is do you want to buy a new, (likely) more expensive car that requires a signficant downpayment with a higher monthly note...while still paying off your current car? Or do you want to avoid that downpayment and second note by keeping your current car that rarely starts and usually leaves you stranded on the side of the road?

You are really good at spending other people's money, aren't you? Even if Matt gets another job (Brian Kelly hasn't), it won't pay what he's getting at LSU. There will still be millions that have to be paid out for he and staff along with hiring a new coach and staff. How much you think it will cost to get Will Wade back?

Not your money; not your concern. Right?

.

Why would a donor want to stroke a big check for the full amount when there is 3 years left on the term of the note and there are conditions in the note that, if met, can lower the amount owed?

We just kicked BK's bitch arse to the curb while he was infinitely more successful than MM. As usual, you're fricking clueless. Too many McNut's busted in your mouth I guess

Just because it would come at a lower amount doesn't mean it's a zero sum. Whether it's up front, monthly, etc.... it's still real dollars that will have to be donated.

As many have said, if it weren't for the whole football thing it would be much more palatable.

I hope it does happen. I hope it happens with Will Wade.

But even as a fry cook, I can think logically.

We likely won't hear anything for the next three weeks. Wades buyout drops on 4/2, so if CMM is getting the boot this season, it will be by then. If they keep him one more year(which was the case as of last week) then CWW will hang tight one more year at NCS and be back next year. Either way CWW is coming back- the deal is done, I am 100% certain because my sauce is directly in the mix so to speak. Stay tuned.

I think they only make a change if they have Wade secured. If that’s the case, I don’t think you hear anything until NC State’s season is over, so it isn’t a distraction for Wade. They can say Wade isn’t a candidate for a job that isn’t open. Don’t want to have another Kiffin situation.

I agree. This should be a no brainer. But I said that last year.

If Wade wants to come back then it's a done deal. They will fire Mcmahon. If Wade doesn't want to come back then they may keep Mcmahon another year. But you aren't going to hear anything until the season is over. I have heard from a couple of my booster friends that Wade does indeed want to come back. We will see but please quit being bleeding vaginas in public. Just not a good look for so called "men".

There is zero reason to do this without some class. We want this to look like we have everything under control and that we aren't flying by the seat of our pants. We'll do everything in the order it ought to be done. He is not staying on as our coach after going 6-32 in SEC play the last 2 seasons. Just be patient. We'll probably be meeting with agents before firing him to make sure there is interest from viable candidates, and then we will pull the trigger.

There is no reason to go fire the guy in the tunnel and make a big spectacle about it. Syracuse lost in the ACC Tournament yesterday. It announced it fired its coach today.

However, I don't expect a decision to be delayed too long. I'm sure McMahon and his staff want clarity on their futures. They want to know whether they should continue recruiting for LSU..or get to work looking for another job. THEY, more than anyone, don't want a delay
