I’m not against bringing Wade back or anything but this idea that we have to get some P4 coach to make a lateral move as the only alternative is silly. Good schools don’t do that.
Florida - Golden (San Francisco)
Michigan - May (Florida Atlantic)
Indiana- Devries (Drake)
Iowa - McCallum (Drake)
Alabama - Oats (Buffalo)
Illinois- underwood (SFA)
Most of these teams are national contenders, Michigan and Florida are 2 of the top 3 teams in the country. You can get a great coach, not pay through the nose, without him being some name brand or big school guy.

ow’s recruiting going? Any 5 stars on McMahon’s radar? Maybe we can snag an another mediocre big from Miss St. in the portal.
He has two 4 stars signed...who will probably average a collective 1.5 minutes of PT a game, along with a couple of pros from Australia...who people will forget are on the team by late December.

While I 100% agree with your overall sentiment, Devires and Underwood technically don't belong on the list as there were both hired from major conf. schools (WVU and Oklahoma St)...even though they each only spent 1 season there.

In all seriousness if McMahon is not fired, I will probably never watch college sports again.
It would signal to me that college sports is dead when you spent so much money on college football players that you cannot afford to fire a basketball coach that is 6-30 in SEC play over the last 2 years.

Well underwood probably stays at OSU if they weren’t going on probation so his move to Illinois wasn’t as if they saw him at OSU then poached him. The move was out of necessity.

It may not actually happen. I have a growing suspicion that they are going to keep him another year. Several individuals and/or entities have come out in support. And since LSU has shown that they don’t really care about basketball it will not surprise me if he gets another year.

I mean this in all sincerity if this is the case:
I hope we go 0-30, only 200 people max show up to home games, we give this loser a SHOESTRING budget and make him play a top 5 hardest strength of schedule.
I want all accomplices to this travesty humiliated to the maximum degree.
The fans deserve so much better.

They will give him some nil to secure a top 10 transfer and 1 more year to make the tournament. HE'S 1 or 2 players away from a top 5 SEC team. Find an Acuff or Boozer. Just need $5mil

If Wade is not available there are boosters who feel that Mcmahon had a tournament team until Reed and DJ went down. I happen to agree with that although I still believe there were games they should have won without them. Are there better coaches out there? Yes, but you are still rolling the dice with another mid major coach hire. One of those boosters was a guy who was largely responsible for getting Kiffen here so these aren't just some fly by nighters. I would suggest you guys get your checkbooks open and start signing and contribute to what you say you want. The buyout/hire NIL fatigue is real. Not saying they it absolutely won't happen but I think they need to have their guy in place to make that move.

Not much smoke about him going...I'm worried he's staying

He is literally not.
He had 5 games lost by 4 points or less. Thats not a talent issue. Thats a coaching issue

Sadly I am poor and stupid and I can't donate money other than my season tickets.

And if boosters agree with you on this it’s very clear why LSU basketball is a toilet.

We’re a joke and you’re a supporter of this joke.

He’s either full of shite are it’s a bunch of retards running the show and that is not hyperbole. You’d have to be a retard to think McMahon can win in this league regardless of anything you’d put around him.
