Why don’t we play neck?

I’ve heard the following excuses:
- To make ESPN and the cable crowd happy- To hell with them. They don’t give a shite about our night games. Put some cat in the booth and cut the crowd noise when that part comes up. LSU is trying to make the tv crowd happy and not the people that actually go to the game.
- Because of a fine.- Pay that shite. Y’all piss away money left and right on Nicholson. At least this would make your fans happy, who cares about them though, right? I would take the fine fee account for 2 times each game, stroke a check and send it to the SEC office before the season started. Send a message that we will not take the killing of our traditions lieing down.
- Because its a family environment- It’s a college football game, not a daycare. You shouldn’t have extremely small kids at the game anyways, it’s terrible for their hearing. Let your college kids and players have fun. There’s a hell of a lot more curse words kids are gonna hear at the game already. Also if you can’t teach your kids that swearing is bad then that’s your fault.
Free Neck! Let’s bring this bitch back to the Glory days!
Tailgating next and then let’s get Mike back in his cage before the game (fuch peta). If he doesn’t like the fireworks then get rid of the fireworks

Can you not just play Neck after the game if you really want them to? Or can it not be played at all?

Do you like the beat, sound, hand motion, crowd reaction, player reaction, energy etc. for Neck?
Or just saying suck that Dick?
Because it’s a really easy one word fix that could bring the song back for good.

ESPN is actually our ally in this war. They would LOVE to broadcast all of our games at night. We rarely ever have a day kick with them and the last one was probably close to a decade ago. The only reason CBS slots us in the day is because that's their only only window. I guess they want the contract so that they have a "prime time" game that doesn't go up against actual prime time ABC, ESPN, Fox, NBC games. The only enemy here is CBS and LSUs inability to reject playing in a time slot it doesn't want.
ETA: And also Joe Alleva for being completely neutered whenever faced with the slightest bit of resistance. Literally every time there's a conflict that needs resolving, Joe Alleva takes the path of least resistance and LSU suffers.

That is true. But that seems to be the only option for game. There is also pre-game, before its on TV.
