The song I linked is far more inappropriate than Neck with the chant. It was a joke. If you stopped reading at "piped-in music," ignored the quoted text and the link then yeah, there isn't much left.
It was a joke. I wasn't seriously advocating for piped-in music.

The point is- the song has become engrained in LSU and it's ridiculous that the Students/Band/Players (THE ACTUAL PEOPLE WHO MAKE UP THE UNIVERSITY) can't enjoy it because you don't your daughter to hear naughty words.
There's a real world at there and you can't shield her forever but its fine, if you don't want her to hear it then don't go to the game.

It’s vulgar and it sucks.
Almost as bad as that kickoff song.
Hopefully they’ll find a way to get that one banned too.
Actually neck was awesome before students F’d it up.
I walk around whistieling it all the time... I’m pretty sure I say sttdb under my breath.

This is where I'm at with it. Love Neck, would love to see it return, but totally understand why it's been collecting dust.
Any revival would have to entail some means of assurance that if the band plays it, the students know what not to chant and actually refrain from doing so.
I don't get why it's so hard to accomplish this. To me anyway, the song with no chant beats the hell out of no song or chant. It's a no-brainer to me.
That said I'm considerably older than current undergrads and have memories with that song playing that are invaluable and far more important than a childish, vulgar chant.
If we're going to chant obscenities we might as well go all the way and incorporate khunt into the chorus somehow. Why half-arse it?
