Why does the Arkansas game scare me so much?

Playing Arkansas the week after Alabama really scares me. I think this is the year that we take care of the Tide, but seeing Arkansas the following week is no good. It's also on the road. I know they don't look good on paper, but those goons really get up to play LSU.

Yeah, they're probably the 5th or 6th most talented team we'll play this year. However, when I look at the schedule, this is the game I am most uncertain about.

If we lose to Bama, Ark. will beat us! Makes their season. They have a jinks on us like Bama.

I've been saying for a while we should move the bye week to the week after the gumps. This would de-emphasize the game as well as give us an extra week to recover physically as well as get over the loss or the win. I think putting so much emphasis on Bama has hurt us.

If we played them in September we'd be 20-0 vs them.
Instead we place them at the end of the year when our season is determined and they're desperate for a bowl.

Probably because we are 2-3 playing there (Little Rock and Fayetteville) under the Miles era.

No WE dont place anything, the SEC makes the SEC schedule and schools work the OOC schedules around them.
ETA:Every year the SEC drops the SEC Schedule and we find out who we play and when. Im sure LSU would love to schedule Bama earlier in the season, but with the money grab this game makes every year and the importance, it will forever be the 1st game of November.
